We've discussed "Dr." Steve Parent's ideas here. He's delusional.

Check here for a fuller examination of the question:

They promote a site that alleges the official campaign endorses them

Approved by the Ron Paul 2008 Presidential Campaign Committee:
Jeff Greenspan, Regional Coordinator
but that is a lie too:

Happily Debbie Hopper from the official campaign clarifies that Steve Parent is delusional trying to embarrass us:

I don't know Steve, but I do know that a majority of the delegates that have been elected are not RP supporters. If that claim is being made, it's false. If our people are believing it and repeating it, they're going to look mighty foolish.

Hopefully this will put a stop to the nightmare that is Steve Parent.

What does Steve Parent have to do with this thread?

I'm thinking this isn't a "Dr." Steve production, based on the fact that it links to RPI and not to his station.

From a cursory overview, the site in the OP doesn't appear to be carrying his typical bad information, either.

What does Steve Parent have to do with this thread?

The site prominently links to the Anson's "How to be a delegate" site with the exact same misinformation from "Dr." Steve and which he (self)promotes constantly.

Which link are you referring to?

"There are three options to choose from in order to get information on how to become a delegate to your GOP conventions. Please consider doing all three; if that's too much, pick the one you're most comfortable with. Perform the "Strategies For Success" below to solidify your chances of becoming a National Delegate."

Before this goes to page after page... I'll just say you should research your state *very* thoroughly at this point at as many sites as possible. ronpaul2008.com has good starts in their states sections, forums such as this one do as well, plus you can search the threads for previous commentary on the subject. Take it all with a grain of salt, but be scanning for absolutes such as dates (a LOT of deadlines are long gone in many states) and prerequisites (such as amount of time within the party, etc), and contact info.

You might not qualify at all to be a national delegate, or they might be selected for your state. You might also not realize being an RNC delegate does carry SOME financial burden. If you can honestly shoulder all of this, and meet the qualifications, then good luck and give 'em (courteous) hell in MN :)
