It's interesting that both Barr and the Constitution Party's Chuck Baldwin could serve as "placeholders" and provide one final avenue for a third party run if Ron Paul wanted it. This allows us to devote our full attention to pressing onward to the GOP Convention, while leaving the unlikely Plan B of a third party candidacy open.
