Looks like the pro western pro Washington scum had won again..
and from what i hear in serbia, if serbia joins eu union the gun right people will have some troubles of keeping there guns or rpgs for that matter.

Cause if i remember there was a news story that the European Union are looking for some tougher gun laws, and if that the story is true then thats bad for those countries who joined.

Why is th Eu so bad?

European Union will only have one single based Constitution
European Union will still have the only one single Currency
European Union will use nato has there main army force.

European Union will not care about civil liberties.

Will thats how i see the European Union no Offence, to those who love the eu

Eh, a single currency has alot of advantages over a large, integrated economic zone. Everything else about the EU sucks though, since its about as bureaucratic and statist as they come.

Why should I give a fuck about Serbia? Dudes are probably assholes with their little coffee shops and antique markets and berets. European assholes.

Easy there. There are a number of us Europeans on this forum just cause we like Ron Pauls politics ( To bad we don't get to vote ). There are hardly any libertarian politicians in Europe so thats probably why we have ended up on this forum.

To be honest, I'm a bit torn over the EU issue. There is the widespread opinion that small is good and big is evil. That small countries are somehow inherently good, and big countries/unions are inherently evil. The US federal govt is evil and the state govt is good. I'm not sure i buy into that. If a state govt passes laws that violates individual freedoms, its just as bad as if the federal govt passed such laws. Surely a country/union should only be judged by how much they limit individual freedoms. Nothing else. Most countries that joined the EU had more restriction on individual economic freedoms before they joined the Union. They had lots of state granted monopolies and subsidies. After EU membership many have been forced to allow competition (on gambling, alcohol, postal services, energy providers.. scrapping of subsidies etc), so now individuals are freer to open up businesses and compete with what was previously monopolies. Economic freedom is one of the most important freedoms. Without economic freedom, political freedom matters little.

When it comes to Serbia and Kosovo I think they would benefit from joining the EU. Their countries are not exactly champions of individual freedom. Lots of nationalism, racism and corruption in their politics over there. EU might not be that good but its probably better than the alternative.

Its interesting that EU seems to be getting less socialist and more capitalist (the majority of govts in EU are run by parties to the right) while US seems to be heading in the opposite direction.

If anyone is interested in what goes on in the EU, check out http://euobserver.com/. Staying informed is important, so we know to protest when we are heading in the wrong direction.

Cheers

I'm hardly an expert on the EU, but I was under the impression that Britain's fishing industries had suffered extensively because they signed over their rights to the EU.

You've got a young Big Government there. Give it 200 years, then come back and tell us it wasn't a bad idea. Trust us, lots of small mistakes are much easier fixed than lots of BIG mistakes.

In my opinion you could just about chalk up Britain as one of the top five most socialistic countries in the world. It is getting extremely bad over there, IMO. Cameras everywhere, no guns, state healthcare, and now RFID spin to get it in the mainstream as a good thing. Sorry for getting off topic on another country.
