No candidates showed up so they held a forum, here is a quip. It is as true as the sun rising in the morning. You know, how can Americans deny the obvious?
Bush was right to get rid of Saddam Hussein and to attempt to promote democracy in Iraq but failed to recognize "our closest allies in the area, especially Saudi Arabia, absolutely oppose democracy," he said.
"By declaring this grand crusade to create democracy in the Middle East, the president created immediately a host of enemies in every nation surrounding Iraq," he said.
"None are democracies. All are led by autocrats, dictators, kings. So he created an impossible, tactical situation."
