Announcing our first 24/7 cable TV station <-- BreakTheMatrix TV
Basic Media, Inc. (Break the Matrix TV) establishes strategic partnership with cable operator… seeks to expand.
Basic Media, Inc.’s new Break the Matrix TV channel has been picked up by independent cable operator Bay Country Communications, Inc., headquartered in East New Market, MD.
The initial launch of Break the Matrix TV will aggregate documentaries, video segments, news programming, and commentary from a variety of sources into a 24/7 broadcast network. After the initial launch, the scope of the channel will be expanded to include original television programming created and produced by Basic Media, Inc. Currently, six original shows are in the planning stages.
Revolutionary Approach
Basic Media, Inc. has adopted a revolutionary approach to get Break the Matrix TV programming to market at an accelerated pace. A key element of their approach involves offering the first round of content to independent cable providers, who serve more than 12 million households nationwide.
COO Trevor Lyman explains, “Our partnership with Bay Country Communications is an exciting first step in affirming the viability of our grassroots-inspired ground-up approach. BCCTV Vice President and co-founder Scott Shilling immediately recognized the value our programming will add to his current channel lineup. He was thrilled that his customers would have access to content that wouldn’t be available to Comcast customers in the area.”
Growth Potential
Across the United States, more than 1100 independent cable providers offer customers an alternative to the monolithic major communications conglomerates so diligently monitoring and controlling the programming they broadcast. Building on the success of Break the Matrix TV’s launch on the Bay Country Communications network, Basic Media, Inc. will execute similar broadcasting contracts with independent cable operators across the nation.
“We’re asking people to help spread the message by creating an account at http://www.BreakTheMatrix.com and indicating their willingness to switch to the independent provider in their area, should the company choose to carry our programming.” says Shelly Roche of Basic Media, Inc. “We’ll be able to approach potential cable partners with a list of pledged subscribers as additional evidence of the value our content will bring to their lineup. With the continued help and support of our community, we are confident we can quickly reach more than 12 million households across the nation.”

Don't let the big money take over the channel.

Great news. This is what you should do in a free market economy instead of bitching, complaining and boycotting other stations. FOX, CNN, NBC et al. have every right to present the news as they see fit. I would think libertarian thinking people would agree but apparently many have a real problem with free markets.
If you want to complain about the other networks that is your business. I would say pool your money with your friends and others and start you own news network and if the market likes your approach it won't be long before you have more viewers than FOX News. If the market doesn't like your presentation you will be broke and out of work.
You report, the market decides.

how do we know if this is a stock scam
Because it has many of the indicators and:
- A flashy website to lure you in.
- A grandiose idea to lure you in. Google SLJB, PNMS, GBDX, CKYS. If you read about just those 4, you will get a flavor for the similarities.

The funniest by far was CKYS. Those crooks even claimed to have contracts with the US government! Must be legit right?!?!...lol
Traded at $15 at one point before the curtain was lifted and the perpetrators were hauled off by the FBI. Worth 0 now.
All the way down people will justify why they are holding it, it is quite sad; the beaten wife scam stock holder syndrome.

man mods lock some thread where a webmaster is asking for a few bucks to run their website that broadcasts ron paul yet they keep this scam asking for millions unlocked.
I hope the reason for not locking this is so we can point out its massive flaws.

ItsTime, DrYongrel, etc. - Why are you trying so hard to subvert an opportunity to get Ron Paul's message into 12 MILLION homes??? How can that POSSIBLY be a bad thing?
This is a tremendous step forward for the movement!!

because we have seen what a scammer trevor has been from day 1? and there are far better ideas with less of spamming and scamming skills then break the matrix has that can do a far better job.
Oh ya and The Blimp = biggest failure in grassroots history. $500k spent with ZERO return.
How about we get some people in congress, I do not see one topic about BJ's win in the top content at break the matrix. Just kooky truther crap that you can find at reason.com or freedom.tv.

I don't care who is running it. It has the stinch of pump and dump all over it from what I have read, in my opinion.

wait, how is trevor a scam artist?
If he was scamming, it would be hard for him to hide very long from millions of angry people who know what he looks like.
You will go to prison for scamming. Trevor has done many projects with me before, never did he come off as untrustworthy.
He built my first website and still has access to my server vicariously my accounts, hasn't scammed me.,
We put together ronpaulsacrossamerica.com, he didn't scam me.
And then he spearheaded Nov 5th. A project that he didn't try to scam people on.
And then Dec 16th. Didn't scam anyone.
Blimp. Didn't scam anyone.
He's got a track record. He is a known figure. If he is scamming you now, he is doing a piss poor job of it, because everyone of our cranky anus rippers are going to be spying on his every move, hoping they are the one who brings him down.
A sociological profile:
A Con Artist never lets you know who they are.. They don't want to be high profile.
They typically do not used more than one or two events to set anyone up. Takes too long. People who are cons, aren't patient enough to make money the traditional way.
Now with that said, don't expect to make money on this venture. Your investment will most likely be a donation with a chance of being returned.
But if you like the goal. You should evaluate what you can afford to gamble, and roll the dice.

One thing the majority of us require, nay, demand--is complete and utter clarity in all finances in all circumstances. We didn't get that with the blimp and it's not happening with break the matrix either.
So, I'm going with what I know--supporting Congressional candidates.

BreakTheMatrix has not asked for any money at all. Period. How is that "pump and dump" (Options Trader) or in any way a nefarious plot to scam all of us? How are they scamming us without having asked for a dime?
I don't feel scammed at all. In fact, I feel hopeful and optimistic that finally we have the opportunity to take our message OFF-INTERNET to the mainstream, which is the one thing that is absolutely imperative if we expect our revolution to continue to gain ground.

Trevor did SCAM during the 5th and 16th. He USED the grassroots to collect emails for HIM to use for his PERSONAL use. Unless he plans on paying every single person that made a youtube or mailed their mailing list to push the 5th then he has SCAMMED those who thought they were creating the list for THE 5TH OF NOVEMBER and nothing more.

Also the $2k PER MONTH PER PERSON involved in the BLIMP CREW.
They had what 5+ people on that team, that was over $10k A MONTH to pay for "Grassroots efforts" of theirs. They even itemized it on their totals for everyone to see.
We do the grassroots efforts for free and they make $2k a month per person and complain when they only need $10k more to keep it up. Here was a thought, look in your bank account where all our money was.
There was alot of cheating going on with Trevors efforts. He probably still holds onto that email list like it is the holy grail.
I complained about that blimp from day one as well as that race car idea among others. This cable show blows them all out of the water.
Pretty much what I see wanted is to become a "big player" to be able to get the message out there. Great idea, however how much money is going to be created FOR PROFIT and what would actually go to the REVOLUTIONARY efforts?
I have nothing wrong with people making a profit HOWEVER if you actually research the blimp deal you will see that they made A NICE PROFIT just for getting hotel stays, food and everything paid for.
I hope this network will NOT fall into the "Gimme Gimme" mentality even though I believe it will within its first successful year.

They aren't asking for money (and never asked for donations), just our support -

true
the concern is if/when they have stock offers
that's when some worry about a possible scam
i just found this thread and it seems like there is a lot of he said she said stuff going on.... so ill add my 2 cents
I spent a lot of time working in NH for OLFD, i spent my money and yours to make that happen. I spent a considerable amount of time working with Trevor Lyman, when we drove to LV afterwards, trevor was there too. at the end of the night when everyone would gather at murphy's to hang out and socialize after pounding the streets in 0 degree weather, trevor was off in the corner by himself on his computer, working on projects. Trevor put in a lot of hard work, his own money, his time, and his tears into the projects that he has created and followed through on. I know that at this point people are dissapointed in how the blimp project turned out, but in the beginning the majority felt like it was a fantastic idea, the idea and implementation of the blimp was not all Trevor. He was doing what he felt like people wanted (the majority of the people in this movement were all for the blimp)
as for the email fiasco, no one had used that program for emails before, and it was the same program we used for OLFD, all in all it was a shitty program, i agree.... however the MASSES of people who had signed up for one, signed up for the other, I admit that maybe we should have taken the time to create an email program that didn't have the problems this one did, but it seemed way more time consuming to do that than to just use the one we had. I HATED getting emails EVERY DAY for the 5th and the 16th money bombs, but i just dealt with it because i knew it was the program itself and not something trevor or vijay did for their own amusement.
i guess what im trying to say is that Trevor is a really really nice guy, and if you spent one hour talking to him in person anyone would be crazy to say that he would take advantage of an earth worm, nevertheless a ron paul supporter.
its so so hard to be the person "in charge" in these projects, stuff comes up that you couldn't even imagine what a pain in the ass it is to deal with... you end up being pulled in a hundred different directions, and never making everyone happy.
that being said, breakthematrix may be the portal to changing this country, maybe not, but its a good idea, and could bring everything together in one place.... i think everyone should at least check it out, give it a chance, and if you don't want to contribute don't.... but i wouldn't assume that its a scam based on its creators, or the people involved in it.
