Seriously, I know alot of Penn and Teller fans probably reside here, especially since penn endorsed paul but,

I never realized how smart and libertarian these guys are.

In their show "Bullshit" they call out all sorts of Bullshit in modern day US society.

They take on the War on Drugs, Prostitution, and fight for The 2nd Amendment, 1st amendment and sooooooooooo much more.

I dont know why it took me so long to start watching this show, but i suggest you do if you feel like you still have alot to learn about Freedom. This show will teach you ALOT, and it can be fucking hilarious too :)

anyways... i know this thread is somewhat useless, but i think there are some people here like me, who have never really given "Bullshit" a good watch, and could learn alot from it.

search for it on youtube, you can find full eps there :)

have you watched penn and teller? It's just as valuable as reading, Seriously... and even moreso for those people who dont like to read big ass books all the time.

And yea, i hate tv too, i canceled my cable months ago, but that doesnt stop me from watching all the shows i like online without supporting companies like FOX and NBC.

Gotta love freedom :)

That is 1000% applicable to that bs piece.

They go for the whacko's & nutjobs. Nothing substantial ever presented.

They do alot of good... BUT, I'm not a fan:

Penn can kiss my f--ken ass for all I care, he hasn't woken up... He WAS a supporter, he didn't support Ron Paul there.

Penn isn't that smart... the show is usually misleading in certain ways.

I highly recommend listening to Penn Jillette's radio show. It was on for about a year and a half, and it as intensely libertarian. I have all of the episodes on my iPod, and I still listen to them daily.

You can find the episodes archived here:

I miss Monkey Tuesday. And Goudeau.

It is the greatest radio show ever.

He also now has a video blog called "Penn Says" sponsored by Sony on Crackle.com. It may not be as long and in depth as his radio show, it's still excellent.

As was said earlier with the exception of the conspiracy theory episode Bullshit is a great show. Definitely better than most of that other mindless crap that's on the other stations.

Here's Ron Paul's definition of freedom

http://www.ronpaul2008.com/articles/161/what-does-freedom-really-mean/

Simply put, freedom is the absence of government coercion. Our Founding Fathers understood this, and created the least coercive government in the history of the world. The Constitution established a very limited, decentralized government to provide national defense and little else. States, not the federal government, were charged with protecting individuals against criminal force and fraud. For the first time, a government was created solely to protect the rights, liberties, and property of its citizens. Any government coercion beyond that necessary to secure those rights was forbidden, both through the Bill of Rights and the doctrine of strictly enumerated powers. This reflected the founders’ belief that democratic government could be as tyrannical as any King.

Few Americans understand that all government action is inherently coercive. If nothing else, government action requires taxes. If taxes were freely paid, they wouldn’t be called taxes, they’d be called donations. If we intend to use the word freedom in an honest way, we should have the simple integrity to give it real meaning: Freedom is living without government coercion. So when a politician talks about freedom for this group or that, ask yourself whether he is advocating more government action or less.

The real question you have to ask yourself here is, "Which is smarter: a cave man, or a lemming?"

There's a lot of lemmings amongst us, nowadays.
