I've decided that along with cooking dinner for my mom and giving her flowers, this year I'm giving her a copy of The Revolution: A Manifesto. I'll hand write a letter to her as well. Something along the lines of:

Dear Mom,

You've raised me to fight for what I believe in, stand up for what's right, fair, and just, and to never give up on my dreams. This book explains exactly what I have been fighting for during the last year, and when you read it I think you'll be proud of the son you've raised. You'll understand what it takes to bring about real change in this country. You'll see that what I fight for would be great for not just you, me, and your grandchildren, but for the entire country as well as the world, for generations to come. You'll see that the very values you taught me as you raised me are the values that I now fight for.

Thank you for all you've taught me.

Happy Mother's Day!

Think that will get her to read the book? ;)

Do the Revolution, Ron Paul, and your mother a favor... Give her the Manifesto for Mother's Day. (but don't forget the flowers)

Yeah, I'm sure she'll love it. I just checked http://bn.com and luckily there are a couple stores in my area that still have it in stock. I'd give her my personal copy if I had to, but it already looks a little beat-up.

What a great idea! Four Stars! I'm going to do the same. The letter really makes the whole idea a wonderful one.

Why support the greeting card companies and flower companies with your money?
Show your mom you really care about her and her freedom. :)

Here's the big question: Does anyone have any coupons to Borders or Barnes and Noble they can share, such as the one from Borders a few weeks ago.

I thought it was already at #7, and would be #1 this Sunday. Do they really decide what the best seller is going to be a week and a half ahead of time? If so, that seems really strange.

No, the press releases have all included precise dates: it debuts at #7 for this Sunday, and then hits #1 on the list released on May 18.

It's a little odd until you realize that the May 11 list measures sales from 10-14 days earlier, which is why we can know what the list is going to look like before it is actually published in the paper.

I gave a copy to my mom last week. She enjoyed the book even though she is not a "Ron Pauler" and was talking about it to a work associate. Soon as she finished it, he asked for it. She told him that I said to keep passing it along.

By the way, she works at the Capital in Sacremento, CA :)

Also, my GF who was not interested in potitics AT ALL read a book I gave her. She already got two other people at her work to read it (its only been like 10 days too!) and tells them to keep passing it around. Now even she talks Ron Paulitics.
