Jesse Ventura Interested in Running for President as Libertarian

[go to the 34 minute mark of the video: http://www.911blogger.com/node/15467]

Meria interviews Jesse Ventura in depth on 9/11

(This is by far the best interview I have heard with Jesse Ventura)

"This is the ONE interview of former Governor Jesse Ventura which stands out from his Corporate Media battles; herein the ex-Governor is welcomed and given a forum uninterrupted by corporate advertisements. Jesse "the Mind" engages in a fluid and thought-provoking discussion; proving that our best potential candidates for President are still waiting for the American Public to recognize the inconsistencies in economic and foreign policies which are eroding the very fabric of what we love about America. Support Jesse Ventura for President"

so would you recommend that any libertarians who suspect any level of involvement by members of the us govt concede their first amendment rights to discus their thoughts?

Just what we need the party to look even more nutty than it already appears.

So he's interested in getting .04% of the vote? Cool.

It just splits the Conservative alternative vote into even smaller numbers.

if he ran as libertarian and had a huge backing and everything - something could come of it

but i don't think he's going to do anything

Barr/Ventura would get loads of press (compared to Paul), but unfortunately a whole lot of it would be negative spin making Ventura look like a nutjob for being a troother. Like it or not that's the way it'd spin.. I'd send them some donations just to see them get on TV and get the neocons and socialists all lathered up. One thing is for certain - neither one of them would hem and haw or beat around the bush and the media would eat it up... heheh..

Don't leave yet...There is quite a divide amongst all of us. I guess there's room for both.

Both sides like to crack at each other sometimes. Both friendly and joking, and genuinely hostile. I, of course, am on the serious, non-conspiracy side.

I do tend to think that 9/11 truth is much like a stain on the tablecloth of libertarianism and it is a shame that Alex Jones and his ilk are known as libertarians and then the rest of us are branded the same way.

Well, don't let them stop you from donating to BJ Lawson!

I don't buy into the 9/11 conspiracy stuff but I'd vote for him if he was on the ballot. I don't know if he could win the Libertarian nomination though...I guess he has just as good of a chance as any of the other top contenders.

Yuck.... Ventura's going to go along with a holier-then-thou anti-party tirade the entire time he's promoting his book and then pick a party that doesn't fit his principles because no one wanted to bother getting him ballot access? Ventura's conservative at best.

Third party candidates are nothing but spokespeople - if they don't fit the platform, they're useless. It's too bad that so many resources are being wasted on the national level.
