Or at least not a subject I have seen here. If you understand economics at a freshman college level, you should know that pure competition (which is what we, not liberals refer to as capitalism) generates the lowest possible price for all goods. Logically, the lower the price of good, the better off everyone, rich or poor, is. Unfortunately the general public has been tricked into thinking that capitalism makes the rich richer and the poor poorer.

The only way to accomplish this, is to have a leader, which people think is a capitalist, ruin the economy. This is where Bush and McCain come in. Right now it has appeared as though Bush ruined our economy. The mainstream media is telling everyone that Bush is a capitalist. So the general public thinks that a capitalist ruined our economy. Hence that leads them to believe government control of the market (which we here all realize is socialism) is a good thing. Bush and McCain are both too stupid to ever run a country. Obviously "Republicans" can see this. So instead of abandoning them, they seem to promote them as real Republicans. It would be very easy for Bush, McCain, or anyone in the media that understands economics to point out that our current economic policy is actually socialist and socialism is what is ruining our economy.

This is where the subject I haven't seen brought up comes in. Bush and McCain (and really every other front running Republican for most of the century) are socialists. Since the Republican party is supposed to represent capitalism, you would expect them to be capitalists. I think there is some kind of masterplan cooked up by the global elite to make the economy grow while Democrats are in control and recede when "capitalist" republicans are in control. At some point the Republicans would have pointed it out, but they too wants socialism. In order to get this they have accepted the role of the destroyers of the economy to push people to vote for openly socialist Democrats. There's really nothign else that could explain anything.

You're awfully perceptive for a n00b. Perhaps no one has quite put this into words because they didn't think of it, or perhaps no one wanted to hear about tin hats (it would be quite a conspiracy, after all). Nonetheless, it does stand to reason, doesn't it? If there is a logical reason behind the G.O.P. since Bush I, this would about have to be it...

Unfortunately, it would be a little hard to YouTube the proof of it...

I have to give some credit to my thinking to my math professors. Even though the econ professors who are closely linked to my math professors are Dole/Gore supporters (an award winning female math professor even supports Hilary) they taught me how to think logically. When mathematical logic is applied to Economics and politics, the Democrats appear retarded and the Republicans appear to be sabotaging our political system. I have been lurking around here for a while without registering, although I was barely decided to become a Ron Paul supporter until the last minute for the primaries. I was skeptical that any politician could be honest.

By design or by stupidity, I don't know. But you're right about the perception of capitalism.

Well, obviously they've taught you how to do better than stuff yourself into their mold. Welcome! Good to have you here.

I truly believe that in the case of Bush and probably McCain its stupidity rather than design, but someone, somewhere in the Republican Party knows what's going on.

Ya could be right, but that's one hell of a manipulator.

(Just as you were skeptical that a politician could be honest, I'm pretty skeptical about the existence of a puppet master :) )

--Oh yeah, welcome to the forums! I always forget my manners when I'm contemplating government corruption. ;)
