I know this probably isn't the right thread, but it seems to be the main one everyone goes to... so.....

Hear is my question....


Does anyone know how many BOUND delegates McCain actually has?

Last I heard he only had a little under 400 Bound delegates...

meaning they HAVE to vote for McCain on the 1st round at the RNC.....

I know some states don't bind their delegates to any one candidate.... but some do... so where does McCain actually stand??

It's really in flux... take Utah for instance. Right now all the delegates are still bound to Romney for the 1st round. However, there is a proposed rule change to be voted on at the convention to unbind delegates of a candidate that drops out. If that happens we wont know until after delegates are elected just who is voting where.

Will bound delegates vote for who they are bound for, even if their candidate dropped out? I mean, the Huckabee and Romney people will still vote for those two on the first round instead of McCain if they are legally bound, right?
