Clive businessman Marty Parrish was escorted from Sen. John McCain's town hall meeting by Des Moines police and members of the Secret Service after asking McCain if he had called his wife Cindy an expletive in 1992.

Parrish, an ordained Baptist minister who holds a master's degree in political science, was questioned by Secret Service agents before being released. He was not charged in the incident.

Way to go McCain. He probably thought the guy was a RP supporter. Ha!

Why do the people clapping insist on ignoring issues like this? I say it is a huge psychological problem.

He completely avoided the question, but I hope it sticks with them.

I hope another person asks him the same exact thing at the next town hall meeting. And the one after that, and. . .

Probably just need one more if we can find someone to do it that his security team wouldn't dare touch. A nun in a habit, for example, or a ninety-something year old woman... They just stand there, she just looks at him---boom!

The guy who asked the question is actually a minister... although nobody knew that when he asked I'm guessing

If we really want to see him go psycho, the next question should be, "Senator McCain, how can we trust you to make decisions as our president when you don't even have good enough judgment not to marry a woman you yourself described as a trollop and a cunt?"

Aha, gotcha. That way, they can't say it was a wild, bushy and bearded man in a loincloth screaming profanity and flashing himself before McCain.

Also, it occurred to me that McCain's response was weird- he says "This is the great thing about townhall..." then saying that nobody want this kind of language. Was he saying it's great that someone asked him a direct question or that nobody used profane language? Either way, he's making ass of himself... :D

I agree with the people who say McC*nt should be asked that question at every single town hall meeting. Every town has that one ballsy person who just doesn't care and will say whatever they want whenever they want, w/no concern about being removed from meetings. It's coming....this guy is a ticking time bomb. Ooooh, I will be so happy the day he loses his cool in front of the cameras or other people besides his staff members. *dances*

I guarantee that 95% of the audience didn't know the factual (supposedly) basis of the question. They just heard some random guy say the C word at a town hall. Maybe a few will google it. But judging by all the blue hair I doubt it.

How is this a relevant "issue"?

I don't get it... I don't like McCain one bit, but I fail to sense the
relevance of what he may or may not have called his wife. Frankly
I think it is a bit rude to ask something like that of him.

That was my take on it. I was sitting about 15 feet behind the guy when he asked the question. http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=135408

Pic below.

Then he went up the press row with a piece of white paper which must have been a sign or something he wanted to show him. A guy came up and put his arm around him and he was escorted politely out. Thankfully it wasn't a "don't tase me bro" incident.

By the way, the beginning of this "town hall" meeting was much more of a "We really need your money for this broke campaign" speech. Begging for money quite a few times by different people, "give as much as you can, then give some more"..."The other side sure has plenty of money, so we need your help." The crowd of 300 (Paul normally quadruples that or more lately) was polite, some were excited, most were just going along, I think. After all, he got a distant 3rd here, having mostly ignored the state.

Whoever can dig up audio/video of the original 1992 comment made by McCain would SINK his campaign in a heartbeat. Want Ron Paul to be the nominee? Find that audio!

Time to raise some... "Reward Money"..... first one with the authentic "C" video/audio wins the cash! May sound sick to some, but, McCain makes his own beds, it's about time he sleeps in some of them.

http://rawstory.com/news/2008/McCain_temper_boiled_over_in_92_0407.html

Three reporters from Arizona, on the condition of anonymity, also let me in on another incident involving McCain's intemperateness. In his 1992 Senate bid, McCain was joined on the campaign trail by his wife, Cindy, as well as campaign aide Doug Cole and consultant Wes Gullett. At one point, Cindy playfully twirled McCain's hair and said, "You're getting a little thin up there." McCain's face reddened, and he responded, "At least I don't plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you cunt." McCain's excuse was that it had been a long day. If elected president of the United States, McCain would have many long days.

Apparently the question should actually be "Is it true you're getting a little thin up there?"

"Do you think there's any possibility that Putin might think that you're getting a little thin up there?"

"Is there any hope that Ahmadinejad will ever be able to accept that you're getting a little thin up there?" :D
