At the state house, Dave Ridley today performed an illegal puppet show for profit as an act of civil disobedience. He did it to protest and draw attention to all the dumb laws the state has and to also protest the state house's refusal to consider a bill that would've repealed some of them.

The police are called, but just as they ignored an illegal gambling event earlier in the month, they refuse to make an arrest. At the beginning you can see them demand that Dave get a permit and you see Dave decline to do so.

The cool thing to me is the two girls who show up and join the illegal gathering. It's great to see the revolution spread.

Ask yourself this: if you wanted to do something like this, would you have this many supporters show up? If you'd like to have that kind of support structure, consider joining the Free State Project and joining us.

The event got news coverage too!! :D

There are two videos, shot by different videographers

I consider myself libertarian leaning, but after watching that, I'd have to say some laws make sense. :p

Now if they ever outlaw public miming, fights on!

Dave Ridley performs his illegal act once again, and the police refuse to arrest him. This time they refuse in person.
