I forget exactly which recent ones. I think the one he did on CNBC recently. Instead of telling people to go to ronpaul2008.com he just said "go to ropaul.com" I never heard of it before and tried it. Just sends you to ronpaul2008.com. The domain was purchased on ebay for 25,000.

yes....of course I had been doing a few investigations (related to something else) and the folks who were paid that webdesign money are the ones who did his presidential campaign site and it looks like they have charged well over $200,000 for the design and site maintenance work they have done for ronpaul2008 over the last 7+ months...perhaps also Ron Paul's Congressional site.

not that i can think of a better use for the money... short of just paying people to listen to us.

You know... thats not a bad idea... 5 bucks a person for 15 minutes of their attention. Think anyone can wake up a Drowsy Drone in under 15 minutes?

The most oddly intimidating photo of Dr. Paul I've ever seen... wonder what he's so stern about? The man's been right on the money about the economy... do we really have under half an hour until the 2nd Depression?!

All kidding aside:

3pm East Coast
2pm Central
1pm Mountain
12pm Pacific

----

This week on "24"... Congress takes the Constitution hostage. Dr. Bauer errr Paul... springs into action!

Sabrin: My God... they've cut the interest rate again.
Dr. Paul: Those jerks. Don't they know they're going to destroy us all?
Lawson: Um Dr. Paul I think you're supposed to say "those bastards"?
Dr. Paul: I don't use that sort of language, though I will defend to the death your right to use it.
*wobbly camera panning over to a room full of Paulista Ninjas*
Dr. Paul: And so will they.

doot---deet---doot---deet---doot---deet---doot---deet *clock counts up*

It's just like New Year's!!!

Should old acquaintance be forgot
And never brought to mind?
Should old acquaintance be forgot,
And auld lang syne!

The new year brings us hope for peace,
A new day for mankind,
Where we can all live hand in hand
And leave all hate behind.

For auld lang syne, my dear.
For auld lang syne.
We'll take a cup of kindness yet
For auld lang syne.

When dreams they seem so far away,
Your soul can feel so low.
But love is never far away;
Your heart won't be alone.

Let's make a world where people care,
A world that knows no fear,
Where we can open up our hearts
And hold each other dear.

Our children grow, they need to know
The Future's theirs to hold.
If we can teach them how to love
Then the world can carry on.

For auld lang syne, my dear.
For auld lang syne.
We'll take a cup of kindness yet
For auld lang syne.

We've all been having fun guessing. My guess was that it is whatever Ron Paul is spending the $4 million on and was meant to correspond with the release of his new book. The use of the R[evol]ution logo seems a little atypical for Ron Paul though so perhaps it is some other group...

RonPaul.com is maintained by grassroots supporters of Ron Paul. If you’re thinking about actively participating in the Ron Paul Revolution, or if you’re already a dedicated supporter, please join us here at RonPaul.com.

Right now, you’re probably asking yourself: “What makes RonPaul.com different, and do we really need another Ron Paul site?”

Below are a just a few reasons why we believe that RonPaul.com can have an impact on this race.

* RonPaul.com is reaching a new global audience.

RonPaul.com is in a unique and historic position to influence global opinion about the Ron Paul Revolution and spark similar revolutions all around the world. Thanks to its unique domain name, RonPaul.com attracts tens of thousands of direct visitors per month, including a large percentage of mainstream and non-grassroots individuals who are looking for more information about Ron Paul and the Ron Paul Revolution.

* RonPaul.com is growing more popular each and every day.

RonPaul.com is receiving exceptional treatment by search engines for the search term “Ron Paul”, which completely matches the domain name (a very positive indicator of high quality in the eyes of search engines). A few short days into its pre-launch, RonPaul.com had already climbed to number 21 on Google. When will RonPaul.com reach the Top 10?

* RonPaul.com complements existing Ron Paul sites.

Many of RonPaul.com’s visitors are still undecided. Some of them are fans of Obama or Hillary, but still want to know what Ron Paul is all about. By joining up with RonPaul.com, you can make a real difference and attract new supporters rather than preaching to the choir as it would be the case at grassroots-only sites.

* RonPaul.com values you as a contributor.

Future generations will thank you for your efforts, and so will the entire grassroots team here at RonPaul.com. We know your time is valuable and we appreciate the sacrifices you have made. Your contributions (articles, blog posts, videos, music, etc.) will be distributed as widely as possible so that you always know you’re investing your time in the most efficient way imaginable.

* RonPaul.com is a non-profit effort.

We don’t accept any donations nor will we plaster this site with ads to get you to click on them. We will however promote any and all valuable products, candidates and efforts that further the Revolution, such as Ron Paul’s books, Ron Paul-approved candidates, Revolution marches and money bombs.

What RonPaul.com is NOT!

RonPaul.com is not an official Ron Paul website. Ron Paul was not informed of our launch and has nothing to do with it in any way. After his campaign refused to buy the domain name RonPaul.com last year, the former owner recently sold it on eBay. We made a deal with the new owner and are leasing the domain with an exclusive option to purchase it later this year.

RonPaul.com is not a grassroots coordination site. RonPaul.com is the Ron Paul Revolution’s window to the world and the first website that many potential supporters will find during their online research. To maximize our impact, our primary focus is on growing and promoting RonPaul.com in order to energize existing supporters, attract future sympathizers, and influence even our opponents in ways an official campaign or a all-grassroots site never could or would. Please stay active on other Ron Paul forums and sites and in your Meetup group, all of which are independent of and different from RonPaul.com as outlined above.

RonPaul.com is not a “parallel” campaign. We’re not trying to replace or outcompete Ron Paul’s official campaign in any way. Our dream and goal is to get Ron Paul elected as President in 2008 and we know that if that doesn’t happen, the Revolution will continue and Ron Paul will remain its figurehead even if he feels that others should take over. As Ron Paul said, revolutions are long-term projects. However, this race is extremely fluid and things can change very quickly so we are working under the assumption that if he plays his cards right, and if we play our cards right, Ron Paul can win the Presidency this year.

RonPaul.com is not a top-down effort. I am RonPaul.com… you are RonPaul.com… we are RonPaul.com… and everyone else can be RonPaul.com, too. Join now and make sure that RonPaul.com turns into exactly what you want it to be. Simply look around the site to see what is needed or missing, then get to work and give it your best shot.

Finally, RonPaul.com is not associated with any “billionaires”. We had a good laugh when we read these speculations on certain forums. Sorry to disappoint you, but we’re just a few concerned individuals who realized that the Ron Paul Revolution needs a rallying point and some highly motivating goals and targets to further increase its momentum. Having a billionaire on board wouldn’t hurt, but an idea and a message whose time has come can neither be accelerated nor stopped by all the money in the world. That’s why we need to focus on improving the message and making it more attractive to more people. Initially we only need to convince 5% to 10% of the population to pull this off… and the rest, as they say, will be history.

i agree. if they wanted to secure the domain as a defensive move, they could just redirect it to the official site (though the official site doesn't come close to having the most information on Ron Paul). If their goal was to provide a portal to then entire Ron Paul Movement, then they should list all Ron Paul related sites and categorize them. That might actually be pretty useful if someone types in "ronpaul.com" and their first exposure was a list of other valuable sites.

The domain is leased.

My guess is they failed in their squatter attempts to profit off of it so this is the new attempt. They will try to make RonPaul.Com something we don't want to lose, then when the lease is up, they try to sell the rights at the ridiculously high price that we didn't bite on last time.

The domain is leased.

My guess is they failed in their squatter attempts to profit off of it so this is the new attempt. They will try to make RonPaul.Com something we don't want to lose, then when the lease is up, they try to sell the rights at the ridiculously high price that we didn't bite on last time.

Well that would suck...

If that is the case let them have it. This needs to become about the message rather than the man if we want it to go national on the scale we need.

This says it all. Because of the bullshit they pulled, unless they reveal who they are and what their plans are, I suggest we boycott and let their opportunistic notions fail. Plain and simple.

Sounds about right.

There's no info about who actually owns it.

My domain's cooler anyways, ronpaul.name. ;)

Hosted with some overpriced dedicated server outfit in Texas. Meh.
