View Full Version : Ron Paul Makes New York Times Bestseller List

From Lew Rockwell (http://www.lewrockwell.com/blog/lewrw/archives/020774.html):

"On Sunday May 11, Ron Paul's The Revolution: A Manifesto will debut at #7 on the New York Times Bestseller List (that's 7 out of 15, so it's above the fold, so to speak).

"In some ways, since the Times tracks brick-and-mortar store sales, this is more impressive than the Amazon #1. Even the big chains are not stocking the book heavily yet. But this recognition will change all that. #1 is more than possible on the NYT list too.

"Neocon and Beltway hatemongers, eat your hearts out."

Nice! Amazon is great and all, but this is much more important in regards to "mainstream" perception of the book's popularity.

I just realized that we all have the collectors edition of the book. You know, the version that doesn't say "A New York Times Best Seller" at the top. :D

This is freakin excellent.

Just got done ordering my copy.

Shocking that it actually costs less for me to get it from America than it is to get it from England (Im in Ireland by the way)

I guess thats due to the fed devaluing the $

The best part:

Look at the book below directly below Dr Paul's:

Bad Money

How the financial sector has hijacked the American economy, aided by Washington's ruinous faith in the efficiency of markets.

A book arguing that Washington has too much faith in markets? LOL! When are these half-wits going to understand that Washington has too much faith in itself. The statist re-education and re-definition of history continues. It is fitting to see Dr. Paul's book debut on the bestseller list in front of that.

LOL...I was just gonna say something about the placement also!! Seems almost intentional doesn't it??

Oh the irony of it all!!!!

Did anyone hear that jerk Medved today? He said in his snarky voice that Ron Paul's new book is out today...and then he said to the caller (who was a Paulie), "Did you know he's still running for Congress?" Which totally did not make sense to me. The caller said something like, "So?"

I abhor Michael Medved's whiny in-your-face arrogance. He's gonna have to go pout in the corner when he sees Ron's book is doing so well. LOL.

BWAHAHAHAHA; I got a copy from a brick and mortar store; and I love it. This book should be read by everybody....cost me $21 and tax.....but who cares.....as Ron says in the book "The Long Term Plan and the short term marching orders"

Two problems.

(1)The neocons and FBI are buying the book to find out how to stop us or infiltrate us.

(2) America doesn't read for the most part. :(

I'm still excited for it though. That's pretty cool.

LOL. And the FBI knows exactly who's buying it, too...oh, well, can't win them all.

So sad but so true. To tell you the truth, until last year, I'd be hard pressed to have even read 3 books/year, but since this campaign, I've read 8 books and now RP's new one makes 9!!! Got 'Economics in One Lesson' yesterday and will be cracking it open tomorrow. :)

That's right. And that's why I order at amazon.com as well, instead of co.uk or .de - totally different prices.

I've already bought the book, I just went back and ordered the audio book from amazon a few minutes ago.
I love putting them on at night... just lie in bed and listen to Paul's letters to the Philistines... I mean Americans.

I went to Borders before to pick up my first copy. I was pretty impressed with what I saw. In the politics/history section, there was a little section that had maybe 8 racks that highlighted books from that section. The Revolution took up 2 racks. It was also the only book in the entire politics section (maybe history too for that matter) that had a "staff recommendation" label beneath. Something to the effect of "This book is required reading for anyone interested in our future." They also had A Foreign Policy of Freedom and a handful of books called Ron Paul Speaks (?) in stock.
