The challenger I filed with the Texas GOP. The Nominations Committee here in Hays County never held an open meeting, just closed meetings in direct violation of the rules. Texas State University is a huge part of San Marcos and the entire community, but they (neocon leadership) selected just one student, a party loyalist and President of the College Republicans, as an alternate to the State Convention, and not very high on the alternate list at that. Then they rushed their delegate list in and passed it before anyone could organize resistance.
Just thought i'd post this; we're fighting back. Our new party chairman (won with 50.7% of the vote), Craig Young, is a great guy and I hope this never happens again.
