I have been closely watching Ron Paul's new book climb the charts on Amazon. Today a major breakthrough took place. The Revolution A Manifesto is now in the TOP TEN BESTSELLERS on Amazon (Currently #7). Entering the top ten is a HUGE success in and of itself but it also offers far greater publicity on Amazon's site. I hope that Ron continues to promote the book everywhere he goes, urging supporters to buy a copy or 2. Once the book enters the NYTIMES Bestsellers List our Revolution will finally enter the mainstream American consciousness, and that's a victory we can all be proud of! A special thank you to everyone who is buying and promoting the book!

Also on a side note Ron Paul's other book "A Foreign Policy of Freedom" has made a comeback on Amazon as well, from 5000 to 642 because of the cross promotion feature on Amazon.

That's awesome news! And the promotion just began yesterday. I just ordered another copy and sent it to a friend as a surprise.

I've been reading A Foreign Policy of Freedom, and it is amazing how insightful and prophetic it is. If only the Congress, current, and past presidents had been heeded his advice.

Am I misremembering, or did Amazon drop the price another 5% today?

Possible, but unlikely because...

“The New York Times bestseller list is essentially a work of fiction.” says John Kremer, author of 1001 Ways to Market Your Books.

http://www.bookmarket.com/nytbests.htm

(Not pushing the guy's seminars or anything, just the the NYT list is NOT simply a matter of numbers sold -- indeed, many books are on the list before they are even available... IOW ...it's BS.)

Also, the WSJ did an article last fall that tried to "explain" the "mysterious ways" of the NYT bestseller list:

But the list, compiled in strict secrecy to prevent cheating by publishers and authors, is not a completely accurate barometer of what the reading public is buying, and it has generated controversy from time to time
(...)
Getting kicked off when your sales are still booming can be bewildering.
(...)
One of the first things I learned is that much of what the publishing world thinks it knows about the list is wrong or out of date.

Title is misleading... you're simply saying you hope it's one eventually

Yeah, but it's not really very far-fetched anymore.

This is the goal of the book bomb (http://www.ronpaulbookbomb.com/).

I am confident that the book will become a bestseller and a classic as well.

We need to sticky something telling everyone to buy the book.

Good Post.

I always thought the NYT best seller list was based more on "orders" and "printings" not on actual sales. For example if Amazon and B+N order more books, then NYT counts that as more sales. That is just what I thought.

This books is going to be huge. It's just one of those books. You can tell the media is actualy reading it, unlike the other books. The way they talk about it, ask questions and write about it, shows comprehension.

I think that was to get the price for two books to fall below the $25-free-shipping level, so that people would either have to buy 3 books, or pay shipping, or throw in something else cheap to bump it over the $25 mark.

Since the NYT is one of the biggest bullshit propaganda machines in the country I would be surprised if this weren't the case.
