My friend and I have been trying to get his brother-in-law off the fence and on our side with Ron Paul.

Well, his brother-in-law has been entered in a contest to become a jock for the local radio station.

They are deciding it based on who wins an online vote.

He told me if I helped him win the vote then he would vote for Ron Paul!

So here's what we do. We vote once every hour. You guys leave well wishes and comments. Then after he wins I'm gonna print this thread out and show him the support you gave him and hopefully he will be so overcome he will be on Ron Paul's side forever.

You can vote once every hour.

Be sure you leave a comment here every time you vote for him so he knows how much we helped him win.

Now go to wkmx.com and vote for Phillip Bennett. It's on the left-side of the page.

I have to admit I was a little worried by coming here I might accidentally end up making Ron Paul the new kmx jockie rather than making Phillip indebted to the campaign.

He's on the fence as to whether to vote for Ron Paul. I was on the fence as to whether to vote for him, (thoughts of what I am becoming reduced to doing floated through my head) but the truth is, I'll take any vote for RP I can get. I guess I have just joined the oldest profession.

When does the polling end? If it isn't for a while, you may want to watch the standings and bump when needed since those of us who have already voted will probably do so again but probably won't set an alarm clock to do it.

Haha.

Phillip is a good fella.

He even helped me hand out a couple of Ron Paul fliers during the 4th of July.

I dunno what is up with kmx's website. All I know is Phillip told us he needed the votes and he would vote for Ron Paul if I helped him win.

When does this end? The website said they were going to announce winners on the morning of Monday, August 20th? Is there a new deadline? Or are we just doing this in vain?

Edit: Nevermind. I see we posted at the same time.

Tough competition. He's down 6% in 2nd place, RP spam should push him over and give him the win, if they rally behind him...

So did he win? There is a new survey on the website.

honkywill
09-11-2007, 02:19 AM
He won, but the station decided to give it to one of the runner-ups because he had more experience.

They are going to let him work the graveyard shifts here and there.

Bittersweet I suppose.

Despite the light shafting he was really impressed with my dedication(IF YOU GUYS ONLY KNEW THE TIME I SPENT VOTING) and thankful for your votes.
