Looking over various articles and blogs recently, I have noticed more and more neo-cons pleading with RP supporters to back McCain! This is definitely a change from even a few days ago (notable, before the Nevada debacle!) Is anyone else noticing this trend?

Why would any RP supporter do that when RP is still a candidate! We should send them a message that our vote wont go to McCain, Obama, Hillary but RON PAUL! Even if RP wont be on my ballot i will write him in or go home.....

Whether RP is in the race or not; i can't imagine an RP supporter ever backing McCain I don't care if he is a "republican" i refuse to vote for him. If I can't write his name in during the genral election, i'd rather not vote at all.

They don't accept responsibility for their own actions. They aren't going to lose because we refuse to support McCain, they're going to lose because they chose to support a liberal. Any "conservative" with any principle whatsoever cannot be supportive of someone like McCain. There is no argument that supporting someone like McCain is "good for the party". That's BS. People like McCain are exactly what has RUINED the party. The best thing that can happen to the Republican party (short of having a nominee like RP) is losing the next election and every election after that until they start acting like free thinking conservatives again instead of mindless neocon drones who put the party machine over party principle.
