View Full Version : Bob Beers in Tough Race in NV- Let's Show Him Some LOVE!

I see that Bob Beers, the guy who decided Republican Party Rules don't apply in Nevada, is in a tough race to hold his Senate seat:

http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2008/apr/20/beers-takes-center-stage/

It looks like his opponent has just set up her web site: http://www.allisoncopening.com/

Since Beers is in a tough race, and has managed to piss off many Ron Paul supporters, maybe we can think of some way to show our gratitude.

I don't know anything about his opponent. She doesn't even have an online donation system yet (I sent them an email suggesting that it might be a good idea).

But if Beers doesn't play fair, I think we should show him a little love by DONATING TO HIS OPPONENT- in a state senate race, a couple of hundred thousand dollars could make a huge difference.

This guy is just a state senator?

Yup, he's a state senator. We could squash him like a bug if we wanted to- his district is changing, and now has a very slim Dem plurality.

I love it, I really do.

BUT,

Maybe we should wait until after Round two.

In fact maybe we should schedule a Money Bomb for NV Senate 6 the day after Round 2...except we don't know who we're going to donate to yet.

Now if Beers were to come around, clean up his mess....and get Ron Paul his delegates, than it'll be 100 bottles of Beers on the wall day...I mean who doesn't want to help a good Republican out. ;)

If he tries another fast one...we can cream him. I hope that his email inbox today has helped illuminate that point to him.

BUT if we help this allison gal out right now....we're gonna piss Beers off more than he already is....and us Nevadans have to deal with him again when we get to Round Two.

We've got enough to deal with besides even more Bob Beers blowback.

:cool::cool::cool:

He spends his first paragraph insulting RP supporters.

He must not be too bright.

For posterity (in case he edits it):

I imagine Dr. Paul is as embarrassed by some of his followers’ statements as I am.

Well, I wouldn't donate to another evil.

No harm in telling Beers that I will donate to his opponent though.

He's run by self-interest, if we make it clear - he's going to lose his job if he acts the fk up, then maybe he'll choose his tune.

I left a comment on Senator Beers' blog reminding that RP got more votes than John McCain in Nevada and that Mitt Romney dropped out. :)

I think Beers looks more like the guys with the huge heads in the original Star Trek series :)

Im not into donating to a democrat just to spite a neocon.

I think we can spend our money better by financing the people who are going to the national convention to support Ron Paul.

It is really expensive to goto national and we will be better off making sure people are well fed and well rested.

I guess he has given up on giving McCain the delegates?

"We will finish up whatever few minor agenda items remain and adjourn the convention so we can move forward together to elect common sense, limited government, pro liberty Republicans up and down the ballot."

Man, he must have endorsed Ron Paul.

I forgot to mention the "minor agenda items" should also include voting him out at the end of the convention. :D

Sounds to me like he's already shown who he is. Why would I reward him for being less scummy? Then what? We have to keep rewarding him for being less scummy than he'd like to be? Beers camp didn't have the numbers. It's no favor to admit that. I'd rather take an unknown quantity, but I don't expect a bunch of people to vote or donate democrat. Part of this process is getting rid of those who can't follow the rules, not coddling them.

Can't we get a Ron Paul Republican to run a campaign against him?

I'd be in for $25 towards that.
