View Full Version : How about spending that leftover $4 or $5 million dollars on some lawyers?

Everytime I turn around there's a new thread about how RP supporters are being screwed around at the conventions. Perhaps a little help from the official campaign in terms of hiring some damn professional help would be in order. It doesn't seem right to leave the grassroots out there to try to fight these battles on their own while a pile of cash is sitting there unspent.

They're sitting on it for something. I'm not sure what. That publishing thing mentioned earlier is probably not gonna happen, so I'm unsure what will happen to the cash.

My heart would a'splode were there a massive flyer/pamphlet/local newspaper campaign on behalf of libertarian ideals.
I'd probably dance in the streets naked. Is that weird...?

I read today they're using it to setup a for profit, free market publishing company...

I think Ron Paul already has one. Or at least A Foreign Policy of Freedom is published out of Lake Jackson, TX.

FREE out of Lake Jackson is a non-profit:

That's better than a for-profit.

I wish they would spend the rest of the money campaigning, buying lawyers to tie up the corrupt processes or overturn them, or starting an organization of some sort. I don't trust the publishing firm idea if the same failures from the campaign staff are going to be involved. They're just looking to pad their futures by using Ron Paul and us as a money maker beyond the election.

I think RP should return the money after the primaries are through with a *hint* about some liberty candidate (I don't believe he can leagally give that cash to other candidates {Am I correct?} but he can return it to the donors, who, of course, would be free to do whatever with it).
