Forgive the crosspost, but sometimes it seems like this is the only section of the board people read.

This is a great opportunity for us!

The Leadership Institute (http://anonym.to/?http://www.leadershipinstitute.org/) is offering free Grassroots Campaign Schools in various locations around the country next month.

Here's what they say about the school:

Close elections are won by between three and five percent of the vote.

Learn how to get the votes you need to win.

The Grassroots Campaign School teaches political candidates, staff, and volunteers how to identify and get to the polls the extra percentage of the vote necessary for victory.

Political technology determines political success. Campaigns and individuals learn how to win using the latest political technology:
Learn effective fundraising techniques and the keys to personal solicitation.
Maximize the effect of hard-earned campaign dollars by using volunteers and high-impact technology.
Ensure your campaign’s success by learning proven Get-Out-The-Vote and Election Day methods.
Campaign strategy
Campaign structure and organization
Strategic research
Message development
Public relations
Earned media
Coalition building
Volunteer recruitment
Personal solicitation
Events fundraising

This sounds like just the thing for dedicated meetup organizers. I've signed up for the one in Lynchburg, VA.

There are also other schools, such as a Campaign Manager School, Public Relations School, etc., which require a small fee.

Go here to find dates and register:

Harumph! We should be the ones giving the campaign school. Oh, okay, there are a few things we could learn, like how not to pixx off the enemy camp, and how to get our candidate up in the polls.

Now that I'm thinking about it, does someone have time to google "earned media and campaigns" and get back to us with some ideas?

If nothing else, look at is as an opportunity to learn how some of the other campaigns might be operating.

Here's the upcoming schedule. I strongly urge everyone who lives in any of these areas to look into attending a seminar. Talk to your meetup groups. We need to take advantage of every opportunity to improve our techniques and approaches, especially since many of our actions cannot legally or practically be guided by campaign HQ. Follow the links in the first post for more info.

They also have other types of seminars, but those seem focused more on DC-centric issues.

There's a 'Young Centurion' program in Michigan. It's for college kids, but it regards campaigning and the like. It's a farely expensive deal ($3500/ person), but somehow it's free to us Ron Paul folks. + they give us a $1000 scholarship (per person) to your college once you've completed a full year in the program. It's great and is quite popular in our area. Not sure if it's elsewhere. I have alot of people involved and we'll educate the rest. Make way for the youngins;)

Thanks for posting the schedule. I really think this is a great opportunity, and people who can make it to one of these seminars would be foolish to pass it up.

Sounds great! How'd it become free for Ron Paul supporters? :)

I'm registered for the Young Centurion Program. I'm pretty excited about it. The first lecture next month is by our friend Saul Anuzis.

I hope you're preparing a list of hard questions for him. :D

I don't know if there is going to be a Q&A session. I haven't received all of the details yet. I'm curious to see how many Ron Paul supporters show up.
