If it had been the other way around, ask yourself.

How would Fox News, CNN, and almost every television media outlet spin this as a provocative act of aggression justifying further sanctions and other more nefarious hooey.

I'm guessing we'll be hearing the phrase "warning shots" a lot over the next couple days. But they'll still spin it. "Why were those Iranians surrounding our Navy Destroyers?" What they should be asking, however, is why is our toothpaste in their peanut butter? :D

Haven't heard that one before! I guess its a polite way of saying; "What is the US Navy doing in the f*****g Straits of Hormuz?

Here is an old article on the same subject: Gulf of Tonkin Incident (http://www.commondreams.org/headlines02/0805-09.htm)

You may need to replace a few words... where it says "Johnson" insert "Bush"... where it says "McNamara" insert "Gates"... where is says "Gulf of Tonkin" insert "straits of hormuz"... and change any reference of "Vietnam" to "Iran".

Basically, "been there, done that... and we haven't learned a damned thing"!
