Yes I posted this as an add on from another thread started yesterday, but wanted to make sure it got noticed. So I am asking for a few more fingers, besides mine, dialing today to bring this issue to the forefront of state government.
Maybe some of you can help. The other Democratic candidate (Jim Schellinger?) that is running for Governor of IN will be on from 12-1 today eastern time. The call is toll free 800-899-9394.
I think the "Real ID" or national ID card is where the state governors can have some of the largest effects on our movement. As most of you know, this ID card is a huge Trojan horse for a lot of things the Federal Government wants to shove down our throats in the coming years.
Make them talk about it in public, let more people hear the concerns and lets hear where tomorrow's leaders stand on this issue. I don't know where all this is being broadcast, but it is live on National Public Radio and I would guess at least would be covered by all the IN NPR stations today. Ask him his stance on the Real ID and if he will stand up to mandated federal programs such as this one that are bad for the people. If we get enough callers trying to ask the same question, hopefully it will get answered -or at least asked in public.
And no, I'm not a democrat. But the Republican sitting governor who will be running again in the fall, already supports Real ID. He is also the architect of the deal who leased the IN Toll road to a foreign company for the next 75 years.
