Is any one else finished with the book? What did you think of the ideas in the book? I enjoyed it thoroughly especially the chapter about the war.

I am 40 pages away, I'm trying to finish it tonight so I can give it to a friend tomorrow who isn't an RP supporter (or a Republican for that matter).

I am kind of slow to read books I guess. I'm not a slow reader, but I have big gaps between when I read. :p Last time I was reading it I just finished Chapter 2 (the foreign policy chapter).

The Civil liberties chapter is very informative about the Iraq war crimes that the administration is getting away with. A true eye opener to me as I did not understand the extent of the arrogance of the Bush administration.

The first 2 chapters were my favorite

Just read the intro and the first two chapters. It contains tons of useful information, yet is a quick, reasonably easy read due to its crisp, concise writing style and conversational tone.

I'm only on page twenty two. X_x

Bought it today and didn't have much time to dive in. The chapter on foreign policy is quite good so far. I'll write up full impression once I'm done with the book.

His writing style is eloquently simple and to the point methinks.

I think the book's arguments are extremely hard to answer, and very persuasive. I also think he answers his critics very, very well -- the stupid things people have said about his foreign policy views are completely demolished.

And he is feisty! Whoa, man!

I would have saved myself lots of dead ends if I'd been able to read this book years ago.

Very well put. I completely agree. He puts to rest every traditional argument for every issue of our day.

I read it in one sitting. My first reaction was that the first chapter and the last ones stood out, but I'll have to re-read it before I will get a clear picture. I'll have to wait a few, because the copy I have now I plan to give to a co-worker, and my Amazon order of an additional four copies will probably not get to me until after the weekend.

That's another virtue of the book. We're always given the impression that the Constitution, or the Federal Reserve, or whatever, are all too complicated for us simple people to understand, and that we should just trust the experts to do what is best.

Ron Paul tears all this b.s. down in dramatic fashion in this book.

I think it was a great book for the topic. I liked how he backed up opinion and included a great reading list for continued learning.

Read it all quickly. Thought all of it was good. Thought the biggest strengths of the book were its conciseness and clarity. Usually Paul is overly cerebral in his points for the laymen. This writing struck a good balance in that it was not dumbed down too much, but still easy to follow for most.
