How lawful and constitutional is that?

The police state man tells the citizen: Are you kidding me, you are telling me the law

The funny thing is that while he is telling the citizen not to walk through here, a woman just passed by him and walked through.

How Ron Paul would respond to this situation?

I was a little skeptical that the guy was really in the Secret Service - pretty belligerent, plus I thought he'd be wearing a suit (maybe he wanted to blend in), but the law he cited - "Title 18, 3056" was right. And check this out:

(a) Under the direction of the Secretary of Homeland Security, the United States Secret Service is authorized to protect the following persons:
(1) The President, the Vice President (or other officer next in the order of succession to the Office of President), the President-elect, and the Vice President-elect.
(2) The immediate families of those individuals listed in paragraph (1).

So yeah, he's allowed to protect Bush's daughter, since she's in his immediate family.

And maybe he could argue he had probable cause that "Gary" was doing something fishy.

How would Ron respond? He'd probably crack down on the Secret Service to make sure they don't abuse their power, but they do have abilities.
