I asked my democrat grandma about her political beliefs:

immigration: why is it illegal? they didn't do anything wrong

death penalty: against, usually

war: against

taxes: higher taxes for better programs..but prefers lower taxes

healthcare: free

etc etc

abortion: up to like 20 weeks or so. then make abortion illegal after that cut off period

Democratic Party: she thinks it's the party for the people

Republican Party: she thinks they're all vicious..evil...for the rich. but she liked Ron Paul

Libertarian Party: she said she heard of it, but doesn't know anything about it.

she's a democrat and is NOT a socialist. so i don't see how murray can win when moderate nj democrats feel this way on the issues, i don't think he can win with just Republicans. hm

my whole family are democrats. why is he making immigration his #1 issue?

I used to hold views like this BEFORE I found out about libertarianism and the LP!

Did you explain that there's no such thing as a free service which costs money for the provider to provide? There's always a catch, and the catch is usually a lot worse than just paying for it yourself. :(
