well, after watching this, Google trends wasted the rest of my night.

my searches showed me that the Democratic Primary was highly correlated throughout, in terms of Candidate's internet popularity vs. Media Coverage, where even John Edwards' numbers made sense.

The Republican's mostly all also make sense, but McCain's and Giuliani's Media Coverage seems highly inflated, and Paul's highly deflated, when compared to any one else's Media Coverage:Internet Searches ratios.
