I keep reading of all this great stuff Paulites are up to, but can't figure out where all this spamming is going on because few folks include their location in their profile.

There are many reasons to include your city and state (but at least your state). If you're near me, we might want to hook up to hit events. Or we can invite newbies to join our Meetup groups. But mostly, I'm just selfish and want to know what's going on where. So humor me!

I did, the State of Jefferson:D actually about a hundred years ago far Northern California (north of San Francisco:D ) tried to break away and form the state of Jefferson.

this is an excellent idea - specially if an admin can email all in a given state on a given topic as needed - may be critical at some points!

I hope everyone notes their location, age even.
Some issues can be of a more regional nature, and location could explain certain points of view on that topic. Age could too, given how the exuberant youth, and older folks like me, think differently, at times.
