Although I'm in the 17th we only got 25/29. I think the 49th did better. Not sure since they were in a different room. Will post with solid numbers.

Oh, that's what I heard when I was done watching my parents' meeting in the 18th (they're state delegates now) and I rushed out to check the petition progress. I'd like to thank all the workers on the petition.

Here's some other happenings at the convention:

I get there at 7:45 to do the petition stuff. Instead of the scheduled 9:00 AM sharp, the convention starts at 9:30 with a speech by Dino Rossi, the legitimate governor of the State of Washington who went on about low taxes and other stuff that is good. We then get to listen to Michael Delavar (who, BTW, needs to speak off the cuff since he sounds like a robot when he rehearses, no offense) I then passed around the petition and got 20 signatures in just a couple of rows (there were a couple who refused to sign). They then went on to county commissioner voting, where everyone made a stump speech, then a whole bunch of other candidates got up for stump speeches. After that, they went to voting for offices. They then released for lunch and then stated "BTW, you guys voted to approve the rules, that brought an immediate 'point of order' to the floor which then caused everyone to be rushed back into the convention hall while I went to eat lunch. The delegates then went into their legislative district where they elected their delegates with speeches. After one round of voting, they motioned to suspend the majority needed for delegate positions, pushing Ron Paul people into every non-majority spot in the 18th (including my parents).

I took notes through the day, and will be posting a new thread for my trip report. Now, however, it's time to kill this bottle of absinthe and go spend the evening with a hot Ron Paul girl :)
