This thread topic suggests that the GOP requires a minimum $1000 donation to be a national delegate and requires $300 a night room of the GOP's choice. Is this normal for the national conventions? Sounds to me like the GOP is trying to "price" Paul delegates out of the convention intentionally. Thoughts?

I'd have to agree. But they can't make you make a $1000 donation.

They will be picking up delegates at particular hotels. But many of us that live in the Twin Cities will be volunteering to shuttle RP delegates to those hotels for pick up. So find a cheaper place if you like. Some of us will even have rooms available. I have a vacant lot that RVs may be able to use (I'll have to check with the city).

It's been this way BEFORE we started anything.
