Ron Paul is Still in the Race

I am writing this letter in response to Kranz's collumn Monday April 14th (McCain campaign?). In it Kranz stated that Ron Paul (along with Romney and Huccabee) had dropped out and that he just hadn't removed his name from the ballot yet. While this might be true about Romney and Huccabee, it's completely false about Ron Paul. Ron Paul is still actively campaigning, and is working to get the maximum number of delegates possible. He's been making stops in Pennsylvania and running Radio ads there, while some of his supporters are running TV ads, canvasing, and putting up billboards. There will even be Ron Paul Billboards up in Yankton, and Sioux Falls by the time this letter is printed, with Sturgis and Rapid City coming soon. I would like to respectfully ask that a correction be printed. Ron Paul is still in the race.

Conservatives in South Dakota have a right to vote for a true conservative.

McCain has an F Rating from the Gun Owners of America (GOA), and votes with Teddy Kennedy on every piece of Gun Control legislation. In fact his record is worse then Hillary's on this issue. Ron Paul has an A+ rating from the GOA, and has been actively working to repeal the last 20 years of federal gun control laws.

McCain has a terrible record when it comes to protecting the life of the unborn. He was even on the Democrat side of the Filibuster blocking Bushes pro-life judicial appointees, and has said in the past that he doesn't want to see Roe V Wade overturned. Ron Paul's an OB/GYN by trade, who's been fighting against federal funding for abortions, and federal mandated abortion rights laws his entire career.

According to the National Taxpayers Union. McCain wants to increase the federal budget by $180 Billion dollars, this isn't much different from Hillary and Obama's budgets. Ron Paul wants to cut spending by that much and more so. We're already seeing the inflationary effects of too much government spending. McCain's presidency (like Hillary's and Obama's) can only make the situation worse.

McCain is a Democrat. A Vote for McCain in the Republican Party is a vote against its very soul. He's an anti-gun, pro-abortion, fiscal liberal. There's no point in unifying behind a candidate that's as liberal, if not more so then the Democrats running. I urge Republicans to turn out June 3rd, and vote their conscience in the Republican Party -- either Ron Paul, or Uncommitted -- instead of voting for McCain. At least the National Republican Party will know that South Dakota Republicans, don't want a liberal for their nominee.

My stab at it:

Ron Paul is Still in the Race

I am writing this letter in response to Kranz's April 14th column. In it, Kranz stated that Ron Paul had dropped out of the Presidential race and that his name had simply not been removed from the ballot. While this might be true about Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee, it is completely false about Ron Paul. Ron Paul is still actively campaigning as well as working to get the maximum number of delegates possible. I would like to respectfully ask that a correction be printed. Ron Paul is still in the race.

Voters in South Dakota still have the choice to vote for a true conservative.

Gun Control
John McCain received an “F” Rating from the Gun Owners of America (GOA) while Ron Paul received an “A+” rating. John McCain votes with Teddy Kennedy on every piece of gun control legislation (a record worse than even Hillary Clinton) while Ron Paul has been actively working to repeal the last 20 years of federal gun control laws.

Life
John McCain has a terrible record when it comes to protecting the life of the unborn. He was on the Democrats side of the Filibuster blocking Bushes pro-life judicial appointees, and has said in the past that he doesn't want to see Roe v Wade overturned. Ron Paul is an OB/GYN by trade, who has been fighting against federal funding for abortions and federal mandated abortion rights laws his entire career.

Spending
According to the National Taxpayers Union, John McCain wants to increase the federal budget by $180 billion dollars. Ron Paul wants to CUT spending by at least that much. We're already seeing the inflationary effects of too much government spending. A John McCain presidency (very much like a Hillary or Obama one) would only make the situation worse.

A Vote for John McCain is a vote against the Republican Party’s very soul. The Republican Party should not be forced to unify behind a candidate that is just as liberal as the Democrats running. I urge all Republicans to turn out June 3rd and vote their conscience -- either Ron Paul or Uncommitted -- instead of voting for John McCain. At least the National Republican Party will know that South Dakota Republicans do not want a liberal for their nominee.

Spell Huckabee right, remove the very last comma, and send it. After running that inaccuracy, they should give you a whole column instead of limiting you to the letters section anyway. Let them cut it, or let them make up their own retraction.

You go, girl. They need to get their act together. I'd even add to it: "You are not in the misinformation business."

Ron Paul is Still in the Race

I am writing response to [first name] Kranz's column April 14th concerning the McCain campaign. Kranz stated that Ron Paul had dropped out of the race but hadn't removed his name from the ballot yet. This is completely false. Ron Paul is still running and is working to get the maximum number of delegates possible. He has been actively campaigning in Pennsylvania with speaking engagements and radio ads while his supporters are running TV ads, canvasing and putting up billboards. South Dakotans will be seeing Ron Paul Billboards up in Yankton and Sioux Falls shortly, with Sturgis and Rapid City ads coming soon. I would like to respectfully ask that a correction be printed. Ron Paul is still in the race.

Conservatives in South Dakota deserve the right to vote for a true conservative. In contrast John McCain has an F Rating from the Gun Owners of America (GOA) and his record on the second amendment mirrors that of Ted Kennedy. Ron Paul has an A+ rating from the GOA and has been actively working to repeal the last 20 years of federal gun control laws.

McCain has a terrible record when it comes to protecting the life of the unborn. He sided with the Democrats in the filibuster blocking Bush's pro-life judicial appointees and has said that he does not support overturning Roe V Wade. Ron Paul is an OB/GYN by trade who has been fighting against federal funding for abortions and federally mandated abortion rights laws his entire career.

According to the National Taxpayers Union McCain wants to increase the federal budget by $180 billion. This isn't much different from Hillary and Obama's proposals. Ron Paul wants to cut spending by at least that much. We're already seeing the inflationary effects of too much government spending. [If I might make a suggestion-- perhaps you should appeal to the fact that the only way to pay for these proposals is through an increase in taxes. The average American doesn't understand inflation.] McCain's presidency will only make the situation worse.

A Vote for McCain is a vote against the very soul of the Republican party. He's an anti-gun, pro-abortion, fiscal liberal. There's no point in unifying behind a candidate that's as liberal, if not more so, than the Democrats running. I urge Republicans to turn out June 3rd and vote their conscience in the Republican primary instead of voting for McCain. At least the National Republican Party will know that South Dakota Republicans don't want a liberal for their nominee.

TracyI'm not sure how to count for words, but I think this is a bit more fluid. Hope it helps.

Here. I've cut out all the extra "John"s except for the 1st one. And Added Paul's recent TAxpayer's best friend award also.

Spending
According to the National Taxpayers Union (NTU), McCain wants to increase the federal budget by $180 billion dollars.
