It's depressing. Obama just doesn't have an understanding of economics. And the people championing his cause are the ones that are going to get screwed the most, if any of them would pay attention to what happens in thier own economy, rather than saying "The DOW is down! The economy is crap!" or, "The DOW went up! We're all rich!", they could read a book or two.

Time and again, the rookie Senator has said he would not raise taxes on middle-class earners, whom he describes as people with annual income lower than between $200,000 and $250,000. On Wednesday night, he repeated the vow. "I not only have pledged not to raise their taxes," said the Senator, "I've been the first candidate in this race to specifically say I would cut their taxes."

hmm between $200,000 and $250,000 is considered middle class? I thought middle class was $50,000-$100,000.

uh yea 200000 is rich class.....middle class is 30-50000.....he really pisses me off...and his damn followers, the people who need help and change the most, are soo misinformed about him....they really think he will help them.....let them get obama....let them see the "change" he will bring to the country....when 2012 comes around everyone will be begging for a ron paul candidate!!

I think it's a very good article which just highlights how little BO knows about economics.

He automatically thinks higher taxes=more money for the government. It shows how shallow he is, especially on this issue. Unfortunately, the people who need to know these things don't read the WSJ.

the term is meaningless applied to the nation as a whole.

$100,000 annual salary is not a lot of money in New York City but in Iowa you would be considered very well off.
