View Full Version : Apostrophe, please

I'm no language maven, and I make plenty of mistakes myself, but apostrophes are so cool I think everyone should use them.

It's easy!
Your = belonging to you, e.g. "your book"
You're = you are, e.g., "you're very good at using apostrophes"

Impress your friends, dazzle your enemies -- use it in your next post!

Heh. Good luck with that.

"Seatbelts, please!"

Saying 'please' is fine, but no nanny states, please. :)

Im thankful when someone at least uses "your" for "you're"
Most often it's just "ur".
That really gets my dick in a knot.
