Something everyone can appreciate, lower gas prices. Ron Paul will be the answer to this. It is because of big government regulation that our gas prices are high. It is not about oil, it is about gas. We have a gas shortage, not an oil shortage. Oil goes up 10 bucks a gallon, gas goes up like 5 cents. ONE refinery goes down, gas goes up like 20 cents a gallon. Companies can't build more refineries because of government regulation.

Gas prices are high because of money supply inflation.

If you look at "price of oil" divided by "price of gold", then the price of oil isn't going up as much as you think it is.

Wrong. Companies WILL NOT build more refineries because they haven't made any significant oil field discoveries in over a decade. Thus it makes no economic sense to.

Besides, the oil industry is one of the most heavily subsidized industries, so I highly doubt they are being held back by regulation.

That's the story in a nutshell. Return to a free market economy and gas prices will become reasonable again because wealth accumulation will be universal throughout the working class.

Big government is probably a large consumer of energy with the war and operations in so many parts of the world.
