He's speaking at Cornell on the 15th, same day I think McCain is giving a speech somewhere.
On his myspace blog, there's a blog that basically says Gallup Poll says huck is best choice for VP, and above that blog is one that says Website Countdown underway.

And finally, he move McCain up to #4 on his myspace friends list.

I think the 15th will be an announcement that Huckleberry Finn is John McTwain's running mate. (I had to change mccain to mctwain, it just fit the huckleberry finn thing so wel;)

I think Huck will be helped into some other position of power, maybe even back into the Governor's mansion or a Senate seat in Arkansas, but I can't see him being VP. I think McCain has a relatively short list of VP choices:

1. Florida Gov. Crist: Seemingly "average" in every way and younger than McCain. He's the next best thing to Romney, without McCain actually choosing Romney himself.

2. MN Gov. Pawlenty: He doesn't bring much to the ticket, other than being younger and a good stooge. However, McCain must be thinking of "owing" Pawlenty one, since he helped fuel fundraising and hope when McCain's campaign was on the ropes in the summer of 2007.

3. An unknown woman. McCain may go this route and choose a lesser known Republican woman from Congress or the Senate. This way, he can balance the identity politics part of the ticket against the Dems, and win disgruntled Hillary supporters who hate Obama.

Unfortunately, McKooky has a lot of choices. None of them good for this country, I'm afraid.

Well wrapped in the flag (McCain) and carrying a cross (Huck) would certainly fulfill Sinclair Lewis's famous fascism coming to America prediction quote. :(

I can't remember who did the polling, but MSNBC was reporting poll results the other day showing McCain/Rice (yes, condi) beating a Obama/Clinton ticket and also a Clinton/Obama ticket. I personally think it will be Romney as a VP candidate.

Well, Huckabee could bring the religious right and the Fair Taxers with him, that's for sure. But he doesn't do a darned thing to bring in the social conservatives, which is what McCain really lacks.

Wow, that's a very profound statement there, and a keen observation.

Kudos.

McCain/Rice sounds more like some sort of neocon independent ticket than a GOP one. Rice is a socialist gun grabber. If she lived outside the US, she wouldn't be in the conservative party, and neither would McCain.
