View Full Version : We should have planned a northwest exodus

It seems to many that the NH plan for exodus didnt work out from looking at the past elections.

But not very long ago a similar movement happened in the northwest of our country from people leaving California and moving up to Washington, Oregon, Idaho, MT.

It would seem from all results to date that Ron's largest strengths in support fall into west of the rockies states, except for those smaller states equal or north of MT on the globe.

Looking ahead with all that happened so far in Alaska, WA, MT that we didnt plan for this and do an exodus plan for Oregon and Idaho.

Joining this group of states together with Pauls strong support in NV, UT, Colorado would make a powerful block of states to build on.

Surely the southern states rights would join up in the future with such a group creating a super block of states that could lead the party.

So what about it...anyone want to plan a exodus to Paul Country

OR, ID, MT, WA, Alaska

Just a note- WA will be a tough sell as it's compartively much more socialistic than other surrounding states (with possible exception of OR- I do not know enough to be sure). Eastern Washington is pretty very conservative, just like MT but the much more populous Western Washington (actually more like the narrow corridor along the I-5) practically decides for the whole state.

Whatever we do on this would have to be generational.

It would be good to migrate enough people at least into oregon to switch that state as a start.

Oregon is on track to be the next vermont. You arent even allowed to pump your own gas. No thanks. As for WA, MT, ID, ND, SD, WY, these are all good states. The problem is finding a big enough city to be near to ensure decent incomes. Freedom isnt free.

I've been looking into moving to Oregon for a while now, because So Cali (where I live) is slowly deteriorating due to illegal immigrants and I can't imagine sticking around... ugh! If there are any Oregon natives here, I'd like to hear what they have to say about the state of Oregon and its politics.

I'm staying right in my state. It sucks and has the worst economy in the nation, but I think my political career will be able to turn it into one of the libertarian leaning states.

You're all welcome here to Washington :D

Vancouver, where I live, is close to Portland, OR and has a lot of suburbs. It's a big city, but the outlying areas aren't as big. AND we won the county (Clark) for Ron Paul in our caucuses (County Convention is next saturday!)

Spokane is my target. I seem to remember RP getting 46%

Don't move to Washington if you like sun or warm weather. I'm from South Jersey, and I miss:

an ocean an hour away you can swim in.

proximity to real cities (Philly, NYC, etc.), not socialist, nanny-state enclaves (Seattle, Tacoma, Bellevue, Everett, Olympia).

Summer is at least three months, and it actually gets hot (which I love).

It is not gray and drizzling for 8-10 months out of the year.

Okay, they're both police states -

Actually, I just realized that all these complaints (except the warm ocean one) apply only to Western Washington - Eastern WA (Spokane, Yakima, Walla, Walla, etc.) are conservative, love small govt., and Ron Paul nearly got a MAJORITY! in the Spokane County caucuses.

I think Spokane is the CITY that you all want to move to!

Right now, my plan is to be in Spokane within 7 years.

Don't count the Free State Project out yet. We've just got started. We still have America's lowest taxes, most local government, no seat belt laws, no mandatory insurance and about 20 of us have gotten elected since we moved. We should have about 300-500 more move this year.

I'll get my hopes up when the FSP demonstrates some real clout.

I just moved to Washington and I'm living with family in Bellevue and Tacoma. I'm trying to get established and I'll look into getting a job in or moving to Spokane, thanks for the info!
