Pictures to follow after I tell you guys about the day.
Including myself, my 7 year old (who couldn't be stopped today) and my step daughter and her boyfriend, we had a total of 10 people working the parking lots today. In deference to the request of the police, we didn't plaster stuff all over peoples windshields but we DID talk to literally THOUSANDS of people. We must have handed out about 4000 of the special Ozzfest fliers we had made up plus hundreds of dvd's (people actually ASKED for them after reading about him ), not to mention tons of various bumper stickers. The interest level was REALLY HIGH. People were wicked cool with us and I had alot of really good conversations with people of all types at the show today. I actually had people THANK ME for coming out and doing what we were doing. That made it all worthwhile right there.
My seven year old helped distribute literature and jumped in on a couple of games of hackeysack while she was at it. :-)
We canvassed different parking lots (there are tons at the Tweeter Center) and my step daughter, her boyfriend and Steve went into the show after noon and handed out a ton of literature in the show.
She came upon a pro-marijuana tent on the fairway and they asked her for a stack of the fliers we were handing out. I talked the guys at the WAAF booth if I could leave a stack and they said YES!!!
As you can see from the pics below - we all had a great time. People were really cool with us and my baby girl was a real ice breaker. :-)

I would say, overall, that it was a 99% positive experience for us AND the people we were mingling with. Some people didn't want to be bothered with politics so we left them alone. We got some people thinking, which is really important and MOST IMPORTANTLY, Ron Paul's name is going to travel the Northeast in all directions. I had a couple of smaller bands who front for larger bands ask for literature to pass out at their own shows - YAY smaller bands. :-)

Anyway, on to the pics:

Is there any chance that we could get an endorsement from the motor city madman? aka ted Nugent

He is quite involved in politics and pro 2nd ammendment

Great work! I hope that we can all make impacts like you have, Sematary.

BTW, I went to a big party last night and got a lot of props for my "Ron Paul 2008" pin/button. It was very exciting for me (as was the keg of Samuel Adams Boston Lager!! :D )!

I agree!!! I'd like to know the distribution of people as well. I mean, it's not like people are gonna stalk you or anything.

Awesome! Sounds like everything went great.
Did you ever get the buttons that I'd ordered for you? If not, that means the supplier dropped the ball and you'll be getting them late.. in that case, you can distribute them however you see fit.

I can't wait to hear how the Camden Ozzfest goes. I can't be there, but I sent flyers out to 9 different people (and quite a few said they'd be taking friends along to help) for the 22nd.

No, I never did get them but I guarantee I'll use them when I do. :-)

I still have alot of fliers to distribute so I'm going to start looking for another event to go to. :-)

What was really cool was there were quite a few people who already had seen him on Colbert or the Daily Show or whatever and they were like "Ya - Ron Paul!"

It was awesome!! :-)

Way to go, Sematary! I know you worked your butt of on this deal.

I wonder if we also should be handing out Voter Registration forms to people at the same time. Because how many of these folks do you think are registered? We've got to get people to register and VOTE.

Great job. I hit the meeting of a local conservative political group this weekend. Passed out a couple hundred slim jims and got a lot of positive responses.

It was a very different crowd than the one there at Ozzfest, but we got a good reception there too. Just goes to show that freedom can appeal to everyone.

Problem with that is (in this case) you are talking about carrying voter registration cards for several states (along with the campaign materials). A nice idea but a logistics nightmare. Voter registration drives are a great idea though. I intend on doing one or two myself.

So pm me and we can start to set something up.

The home games are:
9/1 Wake Forest (wont be there)
9/8 NC State
9/22 Army (Interesting)
9/29 UMass (Parents weekend, prob can't do it)
10/6 Bowling Green
11/3 FSU (Probably a night game - day is better but prob on ESPN and its right before Philly rally)
11/24 Miami (also might be on ESPN)

I will find out if there's anything preventing us from doing this.

Wow, I am impressed! :D I know first hand being a metalhead years before being politically-minded that a LOT of these people care so much about their own personal freedoms. They're going to go to hundreds of other concerts, spread the word, join meetups, and tear through the country with the Ron Paul Machine at full speed. You talked to probably several thousand, but that's going to turn into possibly 50,000+ passionate supporters!

Upper Tier $27, Lower Tier $37, for NCS, FSU, Miami. It's not that big of a stadium, and once you're in, you can float around.

For the Army game, theres a 4/$80 deal for upper level seating.
For the bowling green game, all seating is $10 but the draw won't be high.

I was going to write the exact same thing, this idea is brilliant. Metalheads are definitely very independent, free-thinkers who perhaps are often underrepresented at the voting booth. From personal experience as well, I know this is a great target audience for RP's message!

Side note: didn't get to see Ozzfest this year cuz they totally shafted DC and my car was dead all summer :(. Keep up the good work man! \m/

Sign up at pledgebank for this:
I want you to pledge that you will go to a professional football game this fall and distribute campaign material to people who are showing up for the game. Pro games typically attract upwards of 60,000 people and are a great way to get Ron Paul's name out to the people! We should (supporters of Ron Paul) be able to do this in every single football city in America! Pledge to do it, tell us the city, the date and time and then afterwords show us your video!

As an example - here is what we did at Ozzfest recently:
