Something tells me that the whole room changes when Ron Paul speaks up there.

I've been watching these hearings all day (and yesterday too) and nothing I've heard even compares to what he just said.

Bravo :D

I want to see the written statement that was submitted.

It's interesting isn't it that all the others go over time, but Ron Paul yielded the rest of his time before it had expired.

Oh, his main question was: Would Congressional approval be required before bombing Iran.

They both said they could not answer the question.

main points-

"why should we continue to propogate a war that was built on false information"

"Why should we attempt to build up a nation who will inevitably be susceptable to the influence of Iran, our apparant enemy"

Last question was naughty, he asked "do you believe that the administration could bomb Iran without meeting with congress first?"

Both of them said "well, thats not our area, we're all about Iraq, not Iran"

He responded by saying something along the lines of "If you can't give us a flat out 'no', it's very scary"

basically he had a short speech... then he asked the question something to the effect of them bombing Iran and if the administration has the authority to tell them to do it. Neither one of them knew. Then RP said that he was very disturbed by their answer because they don't have the authority only congress has the authority to tell them to bomb another country not the administration.

Don't quote me on that but I'm sure a youtube will be up soon or someone can correct me. :)

In this age of needing access to instantaneous information, imagine when people had to wait weeks for correspondence or any recent news to reach them.

Wow that really got me pumped up. He really put them in their place and completely exposed their ignorance at the end. One of the best Ron Paul videos ever imo.

he killed with that one question at the end. these guys dont have a clue. all i know is, if our economy doesnt pick up soon i am going to just sit home as ill be able to soon do better than just break even because of gas and other high prices and so will others by force. we need to end this farce of a war now, and paul seems to be the only man willing to try.
