So I read in the Star Tribune today that if we get enough delegates Ron Paul will be guaranteed speaking time at the convention. What I can't find is this info:

1. How many delegates do we need to do that?

2. What's the current breakdown of unchosen / Ron Paul delegates, by state? Is anyone keeping track of this?

I don't think there is a set number. You can be sure the GOP will try to marginalize him and not let him speak though. The more delegates we have, the more we can influence the party and the better his chances.

There seems to be a lot of confusion and conflicting information on delegates. Truth is, for some of the caucus states where we've had a presence we won't know until after the state conventions are over.

Enough to be put on the ballot (majority delegate support from 5 states). The party has an unofficial policy of allowing anyone who gets 5,000 votes in a primary to speak.
