I was arguing with my wife about Hillary and her "charitable donations" (to The Clinton Fund), and was wondering if there was any public info on what kind of charitable donations Dr. Paul has made? Did he release any of his tax information or anything like that?

Just curious.

Dr. Paul did not accept Medicaid and Medicare while practicing medicine. If his patients could not pay he either negotiated a discounted payment plan or give them care for free. If that is not charitable donation, I don't know what is.

Exactly what I was going to say.

Although Dr. Paul doesn't accept congressional pension, he still makes $154,700 at least while in Congress. If I made that on top of my other profession, I too could afford to ignore Medicaid and ignore student loans for my kids.

Just throwing that out there....=/

A good person's charity should go unnoticed.

At least here in California, I'd not consider that a huge sum of money. (It's relative, I know, I know) Also, as far as I know, while he's working in congress he cannot practice medicine at the same time. 150k/year doesn't exactly make paying for a prestigious 4 year school 'easy' by any means particularly when you take into account your other children and their education and a large number of other expenses. 150k does not a rich man make.

his wisdom is a charitable donation in itself.
