The Newspaper scans appear real, I remember reading them way back when.

While there is a lot to the story, one has to be careful not to draw too many conclusions as to how far up the chain of command the scandal goes.

Many of these guys were really mid level political appointees who probably had very little contact with the high level appointees.

However, many high level people went to Spence's parties where there were cameras, hidden microphones behind mirrors and such. The top guys all love to go to parties in DC, but I doubt many knew what was going on.

Ted Koppel and other cabinet level members would attend such parties.

The accusations with the children is another story, separate from the parties Spence had as lobbyist.
