Moving right along...

As with the other threads, about the fact that much of our work is easier than it seems...

From my email...

Aloha Ron Paul Meetup Members,

This past Thursday (08/16/07) eight Ron Paul (http://ronpaul2008.com/)supporters from Oahu participated in the Hawaii Republican Party's (http://www.gophawaii.com/)Honolulu County monthly meeting. The meeting was just over an hour long and provided excellent information regarding districts/precincts, chairperson openings, upcoming GOP events and other GOP inside scoops.

Tercia Ku, Honolulu County Chair, showed much aloha to all the guests in the meeting (we made up half of those in attendance!). One of our members reluctantly let the cat out of the bag that she was a Ron Paul supporter. There was no negative response from anyone who heard the side discussion between that member and Tercia. Later on Tercia and Eric B. (coalitions/ caucuses organizer) made it explicitly clear that the party is open to anyone and all kinds of groups (caucuses). They want to start networking now with as many groups as possible for Republican support for the 2008 elections. The soil is fertile for we freedom farmers!

Some important information regarding our strategy interest:
- There are still two district chair openings on Oahu- 35 (Pearl City, Waipahu) & 42 (Waipahu, Honouliuli, West Loch, Ewa). If you know a Ron Paul supporter registered in either of these districts please encourage them to contact us consider volunteering as a district chair.
- Many precincts have had such small attendance during precinct caucuses that they in many cases have a district or a joint district meeting where they conduct the precinct caucuses. This means we stand an excellent chance of becoming delegates to the state convention if we show up, introduce ourselves and respectfully ask for that position. The sooner we're involved the greater our chances. Precinct caucuses will be held throughout the state from Jan. 25 to Feb. 7, 2008.
- The amount of delegates a precinct has is rewarded by the amont of registered republicans the precinct has.

Please review the GOP strategy on file on your local meetup (http://www.meetup.com/) site for more details.

I encourage all Ron Paul supporters in Hawaii to get involved with the state GOP for the goal of getting him as much delegation support as possible from our state. Get to know your county chair's (as we did), attend their monthly meetings and look for opportunities to volunteer and influence for the Ron Paul for President cause.

What we need to do now is list all supporters who are willing to be delegates to the state convention in May. Then a list of those potential delegates who are willing to run for national convention delegate. We need numbers. Big numbers. We can do it.

For Liberty,
Dan

Good work! Excellent job! By working within the GOP structure we'll have a better chance of claiming Hawaii's convention delegates.

You're doing it the right way!
