HOLLIS – Sunday’s GOP barbecue fundraiser could have been dubbed “The Ron Paul Show,” based on the attention the Texas congressman received and the number of his supporters in attendance.

Paul was one of five lesser-known presidential hopefuls at the Hillsborough County Republican Committee’s annual fundraiser at Alpine Grove in Hollis. North Carolina businessman Daniel Gilbert, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo of Colorado, and Illinois businessman John Cox joined him.

But he was the only one who had a plane towing a banner circling the banquet hall.

haha nice! We own!

And I think we are way more known then Gilbert and Cox and the same level (nationally) with Tancredo and Huckabee but better with more enthusiastic fans+internet dominance.

Sweet. If the GOP continues to make most of it's donation money from fundraisers that end up drawinf primarily Ron Paul supporters, maybe then they'll be more receptive to our message.

As written, it was Kevin Roll, the fellow who lent me his house for that NH party in February, who surprised us with the plane.

He originally wanted it flying over the Strafford picnic, which was held on a fabulous mountainside home with huge fields and views, and that would have been great, but it was far too windy that day to do it safely.

We had a hot-air balloon guy there too, but he just had the basket because it was too windy to do his thing as well...he had a huge banner covering his trailer though....

I am SO proud to be a part of this campaign, to be one of you industrious Ron Paul supporters. None of the other campaigns can boast even a few people like those Ron Paul has on board.

I just talked to Andrew. He said that had been canceled because of weather. The pilot would not fly because of potential severe thunderstorms. :(

Mine in Seattle got cancelled too, because of the rain. Bleh. Was supposed to fly over Hempfest for an hour then cover an interstate.

I have done a couple of very small official donations to ron paul...for some reason I am more willing to doante to teh guerilla efforts...like sponsor a texan...sponsor a iowan...printing up my own signs etc...I trust ROn Paul and know he is very very frugal...but guerilla marketing can be darned effective...the biggest obstacle we have to overcome is the MSM blackout....we have got to figure out the weakest point and attack it in a smart way....can johns toseel do a documentary of the blackout....there is plenty of interesting pieces of blatant bias out there...he could even point out some good examples of kucinich and gravel and the efforts to thwart past libertarian campiagns....the Commission for presidential debates is a complete scam...any of the old harry browne supporters are aware of it.
