"Ron would do nothing but wish Bob the best in any of his ventures, but at this point and for the foreseeable future, no endorsement or support," Mr. Paul's campaign spokesman, Jesse Benton, said, adding the two men have talked since Mr. Barr made his interest in the presidential bid known. "Ron is a Republican, and he's trying to work through the Republican Party for change."

Uhm, as long as Ron Paul is running for the same office, why would he endorse his competitor?

err because it would help him secure the LP nomination? He doesnt have to endorse him for president just for the LP nomination.

Aha! But you are making the assumption that RP will not go on the LP ticket last minute! (of course, unlikely, but need to keep the GOP guessing!)

Bah, why believe what the campaign spokespeople say without further comment from Paul? They certainly did a great job quoting him when they in turn quoted Trotsky in that horrible e-mail after Feb. 5th.

As 'decent' as a lot of the other third party guys could be as President, I have to tell ya: Ron has more than raised the bar for someone I consider worthy of my vote. I will not vote McCain or BillBomba. I MIGHT vote for the LP nominee. Most likely, though, I'm just voting for Ron Paul no matter what. I wish the others good luck, but I've never learned so much from a person, and have rarely respected someone as much as I have from the Good Doctor.

It would make no sense at this point for Ron to endorse anyone.

He is running for the republican nomination.

After the convention anything could happen.

Jesse is engaged to one of RP's grand daughters, so I would certainly think that he has talked to Ron about this announcement before making it, for sure.

As some have pointed out, the "out" is the "for the foreseeable future" part, however.

Seriously, do people give a fuck about anybody else other than the three clowns running for the POTUS?

Bob Barr, I love you, but 5-6 months won't change any body's mind to vote for you.
