if it becomes near impossible to get our guys into office...

do you think we could run as neocons and talk like neocons but do the exact opposite when making decisions and voting in office?

the guys up top do it all the time... except it works against us.

this way we can form a group like CFR and keep our guys lieing for freedom.

and there is something to this because i act like a neocon all the time at my GOP meetings but when it comes to voting on resolutions and creating resolutions i always vote with our liberty in heart... and no one argues me, the other paul people that are there everyone argues with.

I have no problem with someone bending the truth to get into office to further the liberty cause. But my guess is it wont take long for the neo-cons to catch the drift.

I may be in the minority, but I'm trying to change politics. I'm not going to temporary reform and temporary relief. I want to bring truth, sunlight, and accountability to politics. If my candidate was going to lie to others to get votes, then I could not vote for him.

Taking control of Washington is going to be a long, ardous process. It took the socialists over 150 years to make significant in-roads.

Honestly, I don't think it'll be necessary if we had some candidates with some charisma and savvy. Sad to say, if the superficial people come across a candidate with views similar to Paul's, but he's a smooth-talker, good-looking and younger who knows how to work a crowd (think about Reagan) then we don't have to go that route.

If someone's too good at lying, they may not stay true to their principles ultimately. It's too easy to become corrupt in that bidness.

This thought has crossed my mind before but ultimately I don't think it will work. There's just too much harm that needs to be done to get to the top. First you need to win local elections. Then you need to start winning a Congressional election. Then Senate. Then President. And to win these elections, you need to prove that you are a neocon through your actions. For example, the "top three" this year are all CFR Senators. So if we assume this is the standard for presidential candidates, then one will honestly have to support wars, marxist economics and the like. A libertarian would never be able to survive the trip without cracking somewhere or without succumbing to the life of money and corruption.

honesty is the best policy... that is why we love ron paul. because he doesn't give in to the media...... acting like these horrible policies are a good thing will always only end up in people thinking they are good policies!

Running as a neo con in a country that has a huge body of people who detest neo cons and detest democrats for not standing up to neo cons is stupid. This is a giant mass of people with no leader to call their own. Barak Obama knows it and uses it. Not something I can say of our though.

If we are to run a second time, we ought to run on the very same platform we are currently running on. Only with our shit actually together.
