Good interview I would go for a Paul/Ventura ticket.

Jesse is no libertarian. He is, however, a big talker who thinks a lot of himself.

He would run Independent im guessing.

He was a Navy Seal, former Governor. Hes for the gold standard, civil liberties, third party ballot access, anti-McCain. id say hes about as close to libertarian as you can be without beiong a die hard libertarian. watch all 4 parts of the show. Hes clearly a great american and very close to Ron Paul's positions.

"hes a big talker"? at least he is talking in the right direction... ...:)

If he wants people to take him seriously, he needs to get rid of those whacky strings left over from the male pattern baldness.

I love his stance, is he planning to run for anymore public office?

I would love to see Ventura on as someone's Vice Presidential candidate, or even for him to jump in the Senate race against Bush crony Coleman and Dem hack Al Franken in my home state of Minnesota. I enjoyed his Larry King interview a great deal, he was spot on with every issue. It also sounds like he's very open to a run of some sort, if only the ballot access is there. This is why Vice President would be ideal for him. Ideally with Ron Paul, but that probably won't happen, so maybe with Bob Barr if he runs as the LP candidate.

Ventura was a passably good Governor, especially compared to the pathetic failure currently occupying that office, Tim Pawlenty. He cut spending, issued tax rebates, and created the Light Rail transit system for the metro area. Even though I'm generally in favor of the Light Rail system being privatized and letting the market take over, I'm glad, in retrospect, that Ventura did this. I ride it every week, it saves a great deal of money on high gas prices, and it's surprisingly clean and efficient for a government program.

I do agree Jesse Ventura has somewhat of an ego. However, in his case it isn't necessarily a bad thing. He didn't neglect the state while he was in office. His semi-celebrity status actually boosted interest in Minnesota, particularly for trade. Ventura even had the balls to visit Cuba when he was in office, denouncing the anti-market embargo we still have on them.

I think the idea that Ventura was just a big joke is overblown. I usually only hear it from sore losers involved in the two major parties anyway. They just can't get over the fact that he pounded Norm Coleman and Skip Humphrey (son of Hubert Humphrey) into the ground. The Democrats are especially pissy about Ventura's legacy. I'm hoping he comes back and does it again to Coleman and Franken in the Senate race this year, though I'd be even more happy if he is running on a national level in some regard.

I like what he says and he appeals to the very gut level of people. I would love to hear him integrate his thoughts with the Constitution and the rule of law. That would make a killer combination for a campaign message. I think it would get him elected. However, he would have to run 3rd party to make his message consistent.

To be consistent with his "no political party" position he would have to run completely independent of any party.

I think that like Ron Paul, Ventura would ideally prefer NO parties. However, he has and would most likely be willing to work with third parties as a vehicle for change and getting elected. He did it before as the Reform Party candidate, and later helped create the Independence Party of Minnesota when they splintered from the collapsing Reform Party.

I like Jesse Ventura. I don't agree with everything he says or has said, but he's pretty solid for the most part.

Some of you might bash him for his "Big Talk", but his big talk got him into office and got stuff done and left him with a high approval rating.

correction - it looks like they just cut the beginning where he was talking about his new book and living off the grid in Mexico.

He knows how to win, too, and thats the most important part. Ron's campaign staff might learn a thing or two about WINNING.

Well the one thing I can say about his is that he is making me re-consider my opinion that everyone involved in "professional wrestling" is a TOTAL joke!

I guess there are the rare exceptions...

kudo's to Jesse!
