Are you against things which can improve the safety of our food supply?
If microchips are evil you need to get rid of your computer, car, tv, cell phone, and everything electronic.
I like barbeque microchips more than the Sour Cream and Onion ones.

i am never against improvements. the reason this could be worrisome relates to speculation that these will be used as implants in humans as well, for tracking of bird flu, for example.

on a different note, you see that these eliminate the need to be able to identfy diseases. i do not feel that is an improvement.

This is a detection unit- not an implant. A sample is placed on it and it checks for known diseases and pathogens.

i got rid of most of those, but i probably should get rid of the computer, since i am using it improperly.
i never bbq anything.

They're little plates made of glass, plastic, or silicon.
If you want to read more about them, see this page:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/About/primer/microarrays.html

A microarray is a tool for analyzing gene expression that consists of a small membrane or glass slide containing samples of many genes arranged in a regular pattern.

i'm so relieved that i had merely overreacted and that these are not installed in the animal.
the news about monsanto's GE/gmos (see vanity fair's article, or www.gmwatch.org) and the news about aerial spraying in ca (www.lbamspray.com www. www.veganreader.com ) is not so good, however.
