This 2006 report for the Joint Special Operations University, "Blogs and Military Information Strategy," offers a third approach -- co-opting bloggers, or even putting them on the payroll. "Hiring a block of bloggers to verbally attack a specific person or promote a specific message may be worth considering," write the report's co-authors, James Kinniburgh and Dororthy Denning.

The sad part is, there won't be any shortage of pond scum who are willing to sell out their ideals in favor of a paycheck.

We saw this coming, check out this link regarding the Silent War (http://www.theforbiddenknowledge.com/hardtruth/silentweaponsforquietwars.htm)...

Its in infowars too, but this kind of things stay way too far from google news.
Probably its time we should organize as a blogging community too, against such manipulations.
And if we can stand erect as a strong blogging community we can link to each other and form a huge online network of 'freedom bloggers'. That will be a great step Imo. There are lots of resources that needed to be shared with our brethren.

The government already has paid disinformatin agents on staff. And if you want to see how China does it, check out the recent Tibet videos on YouTube, making special note that YouTube is actually banned in China.

It is frightening to see how effective it is.
