No big surprise, considered how far off GOP went from the roots.

But the article didn't really ask the right question... Did GOP lose members to a point where Democrats had a fighting chance, or did Democrats recruits more people since the past election cycles?

The article does mention in passing about liberals recruiting the discontents for votes, but doesn't go any deeper than that; I would like to know if the conservatives simply had just threw their arms up and stayed home after being neglected, which means Ron Paul is the answer, or if there are indeed more liberals than before, to which Paul need to work harder to convert.
