Is John McCain a strawman?

According to the FEC Mitt Romney had far more money to spend on the media, however according to Google Trends News Reference Volume, John McCain received an apparent “free” boost of news prior to “Super Tuesday”.
Presidential Campaign Finance 2007

Mitt Romney = $105,100,000.00
John McCain = $65,600,000.00

Hillary has raised far more than McCain, yet McCain is receiving more 'free' publicity. This trend clearly shows who the media has chosen to be the next POTUS.

Yes! But it's not so HE can be the POTUS. It's all for Hillary.

That is not what the trend indicates...

It appears that the media is setting up John "Launchpad" McCain as Oprah-bammy's strawman.

I disagree, but we'll have to see.

Is John McCain a strawman?

Hardly -
- Rotschild doesn't throw fundraisers for strawmen.
- Lieberman, Kissinger et al don't endorse strawmen.

If anything, Obama is your strawman - look at your photo.

MacCain was chosen to become president, for at least since the time everyone was obsessed about the manufactured 'surge' by Huckawhatshisname, who played his part to that end to perfection.

At least that was the cunning plan, until this week, when resistance became relatively safe again in Iraq.

It still is the plan (for lack of an alternative). You will notice that neither the media nor his 'adversaries' are mentioning McCain and the current Iraq situation in the same breath.

The great manipulators out-conned themselves, as they always do when things don't go exactly by theBook and mere scheming will no longer do.

Events are steadily coming our way...

Lieberman endorsed the LOSER Gore, he eventually endorsed the LOSER Kerry. Now it appears he has endorsed the likely LOSER McCain.

The Google trend very clearly shows that the MSM has been pushing very hard to place McInsane as Oprah-bammy's opponent. They give him enough boost to be above the other candidates but not enough to out-do their chosen one. Lets not kid ourselves, "crash-a-plane" McCain is a career loser. There are mountains of dirt on him just waiting to become public knowledge (the MSM will pull the trigger probably sometime this fall).

Oprah-bammy on the other hand, can do no wrong in the eyes of the MSM... for crying out loud I once heard a so-called 'right wing' radio commentator say that the only thing he did not like about the oprah-bomination was that "he was too nice", then following up with a vicious tirade against Shrillery.... Pretty strange stuff from a so-called "conservative".

This may be a useful talking point when converting established Republicans to the true conservative cause. McCain's record indicates that he is indeed a puppet of the democrats (socialists). Just look at Launchpad McCain's most recent gaffe in Jordan where Lieberman actually was visibly puppeteering the manchurian candidate.

Sure enough, this is all pure speculation. It is just that there is some real evidence that points towards McCain as the most likely strawman. IMHO of course. ;)

Ensuring McCain’s Citizenship - What’s in it for Obama? (http://www.hawaiireporter.com/story.aspx?8f9ebef4-027e-424b-a639-d8459868991c)
On Thursday, Feb. 28. 2008, U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) introduced a bill
to ensure that John McCain can become president, even though he was born in
Panama.

Sen. Barack Obama, a close political ally of Sen. McCaskill immediately
announced he would co-sponsor the legislation.

According to Obama, "Senator McCain has earned the right to be his party's
nominee, and no loophole should prevent him from competing in this campaign."

The questions are: 1) Why does Obama’s close political ally McCaskill, a
Democrat, care about McCain’s eligibility and 2) Why would Obama, a Democrat, be
so keenly interested in making sure that his likely opponent is not disqualified
by the “natural-born Citizen” requirement stipulated in the U.S. Constitution?
What’s in it for him?

An effective message to convert "Old Guard" Republicans is that it really does seem that McCain is Oprah-bammy's strawman.

Does it really matter which is the straw man and which is the puppet?

acptulsa,
It does when trying to use this as a talking point for converting the "Old Guard".
